The Fantasy Joes

In honor of Saquon Barkley breaking the 2018 Underwear Olympics, the Fantasy Joes are awarding the first ever NFL Combine Awards...the Barkleys! Who will go home with a Barkley? Who will go home brokenhearted? The Joes discuss their favorite NFL Combine moments, performances, interviews, tweets, surprises, and so much more! Plus, the Joes speculate how the 2018 NFL Draft might unfold for the Cleveland Browns, throw out a suggestion for a dynasty buy low WR before the start of free agency, and debate whether or not the Chicago Bears should consider pursuing Sammy Watkins or Allen Robinson.

The Joes are joined by special guest Tim Torch (@TimNFL) for an early, pre-combine, rookie superflex mock draft! Which one of the many intriguing QBs in this draft class does Tim think is the best? Why should you consider taking running backs in rookie drafts over wide receivers? And why is Calvin Ridley so darn old anyway? All this, and much more, in this episode!

To celebrate Valentine’s week, the Fantasy Joes equate some of their favorite crushes pre-marriage days with their equals in Dynasty. Whether the Joes are talking dynasty cougars (like Larry Fitzgerald), dynasty bad girls (like pretty much all of the Cincinnati Bengals offensive skill position players), or dynasty nerdy girls from the Omega Mu of NFL franchises (Duke Johnson, Jr.), this episode is sure to extend the love for some of your favorite dynasty players well beyond Valentine’s Day.

The Joes also talk about the Super Bowl (of course!), Will’s new mic, Trey’s quest for a legit favorite new NFL team, and Ryan’s failure to track down the true birthdate of Carlos Hyde. The Fantasy Joes jump right into the show with their thoughts about the dynasty implications of the Alex Smith trade to Washington. The Joes later get into their Senior Bowl Reactions: the Joes would have liked to have seen more of Baker Mayfield and have some interesting thoughts about Josh Allen (19:35). Ryan is pumped about his guy he started hyping heading into Senior Bowl practices, MVP Kyle Lauletta (23:03). The Joes share their assessments of Penny (29:09), Ballage (34:18), and the rest (38:25) of the Senior Bowl running backs. They wrap up their Senior Bowl talk with a discussion of the wide receivers, including where they rank James Washington among Courtland Sutton and Calvin Ridley, the other standout WRs of the incoming rookie class (47:15). Finally, after a failed attempt to record a compelling segment about Super Bowl LII prop bets that ended up being completely edited out, the Joes give both their Super Bowl LII AND Puppy Bowl picks!
