The Fantasy Joes

Despite being down a Joe, Ryan and Will persevere and discuss their Fantasy Football New Year’s Resolutions for 2018. What lessons did the Joes learn in 2017 that they plan to apply in 2018? Get their thoughts on how they will approach rookie drafts differently in 2018, where and how to consume dynasty football information between now and kickoff 2018 (remember, there is no offseason in dynasty!), and so much more!

To lead off the show, the Fantasy Joes get into their Todd Gurley moments and Doug Baldwin letdowns of Week 15. Also, one of the Joes makes an apparently obscure “A Fish Called Wanda” reference. The Joes also discuss the NFL’s totally lame catch rule and the creative use of a folded piece of paper to determine a key first down in the Cowboys-Raiders SNF game. Next, the Joes (14:52) get into the fantasy frustration that is Julio Jones, question whether Adam Thielen and Jarvis Landry are undervalued in the dynasty community, speculate on the future value of Robert Woods, ask if Willie Snead is droppable in shallower dynasty leagues, discuss DLF’s latest December ADP data, and so much more! The Fantasy Joes close the show by sharing their Super Bowl predictions (50:12) and offering up hot, bold, and spicy takes for Week 16 (55:30).

Nick Whalen joins the Fantasy Joes for the first part of two shows this week and assesses how the Joes did with their “Way Too Early 2018 Rookie Mock Draft”. He also discusses the best time to acquire QBs in superflex leagues, some lower profile bowls games to watch, and 2017 rookies that are great buy low targets this upcoming offseason.

Nick Whalen publishes “The Devy Report” annually (http://thedevyreport.com/), the most comprehensive document about college football offensive skill position prospects in the land. You can hear him weekly on one of our favorite podcasts, the Dynasty Trade Calculator Podcast (https://dynastytradecalculator.com/podcasts). And, you can find him on Twitter @_NickWhalen.

The Fantasy Joes recognize the 16 year anniversary of Jim Mora’s famous “PLAYOFFS!?” rant, and the less than one week anniversary of Chuck Pagano's “Groundhog Day” rant. In terms of actual fantasy football discussion, the Fantasy Joes discuss the value of some “Dynasty Dinosaurs”, old guys (by NFL standards) that are in many cases still putting some big fantasy numbers. What do you do with these guys? The Joes have the answers, along with some hot, bold, and spicy takes for NFL Week 13.

The Fantasy Joes are back! The Joes kick off the show by sharing their Maurice Harris highlights and Chaz Green letdowns of the week. Critical trade deadlines are quickly approaching, so the Joes talk a little buy or sell, including a fun and friendly discussion about the buy or sell status of two of the bigger WR names in dynasty football. And, as always, the Fantasy Joes offer up some of the hottest, boldest, and spiciest takes you will find on any fantasy podcast out there (and, at least this week, one of the weakest, milkiest takes ever).
