This week we go fishing for belly stones and are flashing our moolti-pass as we're joined by podcaster and pro wrestling commentator Jordan Bowman (Trust The Process, At The Movies 10 Years Later, Nation Extreme Wrestling) for an unseen selection from his collection: 1997's The Fifth Element, written and directed by Luc Besson, and starring Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich, Gary Oldman, Ian Holm, Chris Tucker, Luke Perry, and a great gaggle of "interesting looking" faces. Released to mixed reviews at the time, Besson's film was a box office hit praised for its bold visuals and production design.
Jordan also regales us with tales of his trips to Cinema Con in Las Vegas over the years, including a run-in with this year's talk of the con, Glen Powell. And Justin has a spoiler-heavy Theater Report on Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
If you'd like to watch the movie ahead of listening to the show, it's currently streaming on Starz in Canada at the time of publication.
Next week we mark the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny by throwing it back to another Disney attempt at a retro serial adventure: Joe Johnston's The Rocketeer (1991) which is streaming on Disney+.
