In this episode, I'm joined by my friend and admirable weight loss coach, Susan Niebergall, who, at 61 years young, sets the bar for what "healthy at any age" can look like, as she helps frustrated dieters get the most out of their life, regardless of their age.
Susan shared some of the key lessons from her personal transformation in the last 7 years, starting at 54 years of age. Some of the key ideas and lessons she shared were:
- How everything changed when she stopped trying to "check all the boxes"
- Why menopause is NOT an excuse
- The "Fat Loss Car" analogy
- 4 key qualities of people who keep weight off forever
- Why removing deadlines on your health goals will guarantee you success
- Age and health goals (Hint: It's never too late to start)
- The difference between "working out" and "training"
Not only is Susan an inspiration for her age, but she's also a wealth of knowledge for anyone of any age to overcome the limits they place on themselves. Her "tough love" approach is a lot like mine, which made this such a great discussion!
