We're back! Happy new year everybody, I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday. We get right into it discussion the wildest of Wild Card Weekends and looking ahead to the divisional showdowns this upcoming weekend. After that we get into how our Wings have surpassed double digit wins on the year, how Zadina is scoring, and things I don't like surrounding this years NHL ASG (Larkin, the jerseys). Not dead! But barely hanging on...is a great way to describe not only myself, but every sports team to call themselves a professional one in the City of Detroit. It's been a bad year, no two ways about it, and it's not going to get any better unless the Pistons magically turn into the Bad Boys overnight. We are in a pit of despair when it comes to Detroit sports right now team, and unfortunately our only immediate way out rests on the shoulders of our Detroit Lions. Yes, the Detroit Lions team who is now 3-4-1 and holding on for dead life within the division. Thank you all very much for your patience as it took my way longer to get one of these out than anticipated. In the meantime though my journalistic skills were at work as I attended a Lions game (vs Minnesota), a Wings game (vs Vancouver) and a Pistons game (vs Indiana). After a couple weeks off I get the FBJ, Fat Boi Jerry, to call in from Cleveland and we discuss everything Red Wings. We slowly realize while we’re talking that we might actually be more interested in the Grand Rapids Griffins over the Wings this year, and the boys starting line up involves little to be desired. I also rant about how I am torn about our Detroit Lions because while I am very impressed with what they’ve done through four weeks, I am having a hard time believing they won’t absolutely rip my heart out. Big Lions fan and White Claw fanatic Chris Wernet joins me in a semi-cool day in the garage to discuss the marathon of day we had on Sunday where we attended the Detroit Lions first annual cornhole tournament at Ford Field. We talk about pounding Bud heavies, how they didn't even have the lights on in the bathrooms, and how easy it was to meander around security to get into the locker room and steal footballs.
