Stephen and I embark on a podcast conversation just about as long as his recent 30-day, 8,600 mile road trip he took across the United States. As summer heats up so does The Fizz...last night I sweated out an interview with In Todd We Trust podcast host Todd Barnett, seriously it felt like 108 degrees in my garage. But good news! We both got to wear tanks which is always exciting. So our arms were out and the blood was pumpin. We talk NBA free agency, life as the MSU football equipment manager, what it was like to be a D-1 defensive coordinators son, in addition to a SOBER Michigan State student...Todd's an interesting guy, and we could talk for days, but we kept it to an hour so ya'll could get back to your lives. Man oh man the weather has finally turned and Michigan is somewhat consistently warm, while The Fizz continues to run at an average temp of 209 degrees Fahrenheit. I admit defeat in my Pavel Datstuk prediction in addition to talking Stanley Cup Final and me crying that Boston is winning too much. Thanks for joining me here on a Friday gang, last night I had a buddy in town and really wanted to watch the Sharks game 7, and glad I did because I was able to recap the entire 2nd round for you here today. Wellll yeeeeeeeehhhhawww team we made it. We made it to Episode 22 together and I'm feeling the Champagne Army is stronger than ever after that tussle in front of the net with the Russian Five, which ironically is what 85% of this week's show is about. I pretty much just recap the entire article for you in voice/yelling form, this is perfect for those fans that want to know what happened but just really hate reading or who are down right illiterate. In addition to recapping that shitty t-shirt story we talk about what Pavel is going to do in the next coming months, how I, along with the rest of Detroit cant believe we took not one but TWO tight ends in this year's NFL draft, and then we close 'er out with the classic over-under (without Fat Boi Jerry for the 2nd week in a row). Sweet Jesus these NHL playoffs are giving me and my bank account heart palpitations. I just watch the Caps get canned by the Canes, the night after I was up till 2am watching the Vegas Golden Knights do their best Falcons Super Bowl impression to the Sharks. But hey does anything really matter outside of the kid coming back home to lead us to the promised land? Yzerman is back where he belongs and my heart couldn't be more full. Episode 21 is dedicated to number 19. In addition to puck overload I do touch on the Pistons, the NFL draft, and the Leo's new Instagram mod-- wide receiver. Hell yeah. Episode 20. Watching the Pistons has become a chore at this point, I am such a bandwagoner with them it kinda hurts my body. But good news- the NHL playoffs fucking rock and I can't get enough of them. I yell at innocent people about Steve Yzerman then I hit you wild a mildly hot take about what the Wings need to do with the 6th overall pick.
