lately i've been in a kind of mental slump, and my physical health has suffered as a result. in the midst of this period of depression, i haven't been taking care of myself properly. in today's episode, i remind myself about the importance of getting out of my head and into my body. healing the mind requires taking care of both the body and soul. and i will never miss the chance to go on a walk or take a salt bath :)

with summer comes the social media storm of summer aesthetics. i've openly talked about my dislike of the idea of "vibes," but i've found myself falling prey to the want to be perceived as "a vibe." it took some reminding myself to remember that creating an image for yourself is about so much more than vinyls or bellbottoms, and that its about our character, how we show up for ourselves and others, that defines who we are.

trust, vulnerability, faith and courage are all topics that i've been thinking about a lot lately. today, i talk about my journey with trusting myself and others, and how lately i've been struggling to trust my own intuition and the people around me, and how i'm working to make my beliefs about trust a reality in my relationships.

in this episode, i read an essay that i wrote as an end-of-year assignment. it took a lot of courage for me to write, let alone share this essay, but it reflects a lot of the journey that i've gone through this year and the lessons i've learned. sophomore year was a tough one, but i hope to carry these lessons with me always.

ok so this episode is NOT about romance in any way, shape, or form.... its about actual chemistry. like, the class. and my experience in it, and the hard lessons that this class has taught me outside of the textbook. but i promise its still just as juicy (ok maybe not) as the book!
