This week, we kick off by talking about The Office! We check a parody trailer for a reboot that we hope really happens. Also, we go through several Office-themed lists on Screen Rant, including the most cringe-inducing episodes (you know what tops that list).

We revisit the Texas pro-birth anti-women law, & discuss AOC’s reaction to Greg Abbott’s political games. Since Florida’s GOP doesn’t wanna topped, they wanna draw up a similar bill, which has caused a horrible, but telling interview from 2019 with a Florida politician to resurface. You’ll wanna puke when you hear what he had to say on this topic.

We discuss the right-wing crusade against women’s rights, as well as birth control for women vs for men, with a crude reduction of how vasectomies work (remember how many Michael Scott had?). Plus, COVID numbers, dumb governors losing cases regarding mask mandate bans in schools, & Joe Rogan testing positive. Also, more stupidity from Larry Elder.

Later on, we cover Power Rangers. The multi-colored superhero show based on the Super Sentai series has always featured diversity & inclusion. This takes a well overdue step up to include LGBTQIA people, with Izzy, female Green Ranger in the current season Dino Fury, having been confirmed to have a female love interest. We go over some of that impact, & the show’s history of diverse teams.

Donda! The new Kanye West album is out, & we have some thoughts. Due to the recent resurfacing of Kanye’s feud with Drake, we cover a condensed timeline & how these guys went from mutual respect to lackluster subliminal disses & Ye putting Drake’s address online. We give some first impressions on the album, as neither of us has made it all the way through.

Lauren Boebert is clout chasing again! She & the Freedom Caucus wanna use the withdrawal from Afghanistan to allege Biden AND Harris should be impeached & removed, along with Secretary Blinken & Speaker Pelosi. Also, Texas’s anti-abortion law has taken effect, & they’ve taken wacky measures to allow civilians to fellow Texans trying to get an abortion, even offering a cash reward like it’s the Old West.

More 1/6 news. Creepy Cawthorn is also clout chasing, & at a rally, sympathized with the insurrectionists, calling them political hostages. He also led supporters to believe that another such coup attempt is in the works. We also discuss Lt. Michael Byrd, the Capitol officer who fatally shot insurrectionist Ashli Babbitt, & the interview he did with NBC News.

The Kraken is cracking! Sidney Powell is still in hot water, with billion-dollar defamation lawsuits from Smartmatic & Dominion looming over her head. During an interview with ABC (of Australia, not ours) for their docu-series on the 2020 election conspiracies, she stormed off after getting the real sense that she’d not be able to control the narrative of the interview, but not without some hilarity ensuing.

Other topics include Hurricane Ida, Biden meeting with Israeli Prime Minister, Texas House Speaker Phelan bringing back the “gag rule,” the Proud Boys leader doing time, & hope for justice for Elijah McClain.

It’s got them doing things they’d never do…

This week, we got topics with a sprinkle of on-the-spot conspiracy! First off, the Ocean’s Nine of corporate Democrats, led by Josh Gottheimer, have been striving to be an obstruction to the $3.5 trillion budget bill, and in fact, are (or at least were) prepared to try to block the effort to pass it. This puts them in step with the GOP in terms of only wanting the bipartisan infrastructure bill passed.

We talk about the California governor recall election, particularly dangerous far-right candidate, talk show host Larry Elder. He’s got all the right talking points (get it?) & is leading in the polls, but he seems so out of touch with Californians that even his fellow Republican candidates see him as purely as a poison. Also, Ron DeSantis’s anti-mask crusade is proving a bit costly for him. He’s been clout chasing in his mission to ban mask mandates in schools, & even withhold school leaders’ salaries if they require masks. But polling is showing that Floridians are generally opposed to this. Guess they love their kids more than they love DeSantis, huh?

Big update on REAL election fraud! After being allegedly bribed to run for Florida State Senate 37 by disgraced former State Senator Frank Artiles, Alex Rodriguez has been charged & plead guilty to his 2 charges. He will also avoid prison time by agreeing to cooperate with authorities on Artiles’ case.

Greg Abbott has been on a mission: banning mask mandates, signing anti-abortion legislation, trying to get voter suppression bills passed, all with one goal in mind, to become the chosen one & carry on the Covfefe Crown. However, his mission has hit a real hindrance, he’s infected with... the COVID! Will this make him take public caution more seriously? Stay tuned.

We discuss the American right-wing and how its media & politicians play the game that keeps their base in an echo chamber that contributes to further validating their beliefs & further radicalizing many of them.

We also discuss (as total non-experts in foreign affairs) the situation with America pulling military operations out of Afghanistan & the subsequent fall of Kabul to the Taliban. The rapid fall despite a military campaign that spanned 20 years & now 4 presidential administrations has been met with polarized responses that really made us wonder what it was all for. Also, we had to just marvel at the truly unsurprising tweets & rants from right-wingers sympathizing with the Taliban.

Other topics include working the smoothie machine at McDonald’s, a QAnon follower whose beliefs drove him to atrocity, USA’s role in destabilizing a number of Latin American countries, & just more right-wing nonsense.

It’s season 2!

Representative Cori Bush spearheaded an effort to get the eviction moratorium extended, as there doesn’t seem to have been an extension plan, & the efforts have successfully led to an extension, much to the chagrin of the housing industry, the people that “shelter America.” Plus, Speaker Pelosi claims the President cannot forgive student loan debt, and stumbles in trying to make a nonsense argument out of it.

Ron DeSantis & Greg Abbott are really trying to one-up each other in serving their true overlord, the virus. Florida & Texas continue to see record daily infection numbers, to the point of filling hospitals beyond capacity & now having to ask for federal aid to combat the rising number of hospitalizations. Also, Marjorie Greene teams up with her partner-in-crime Matt Gaetz on his podcast to talk about “corporate communism,” because in her mind, it’s the politicians buying the corporations and making them “woke.”

Later on, we talk about the 2-part infrastructure bill, consisting on the bipartisan $1.2 trillion bill & the $3.5 trillion budget resolution, both of which have passed in the Senate, the latter through budget reconciliation. Other topics include the effect COVID has had on TV shows & movies, old Disney movies & newer shows, Degrassi, stories getting padded out by lack of communication between characters, Progressive Nina Turner’s loss to corporate Democrat Shontel Brown.

COVID is spiking in all parts of the country! The right-wing propaganda is strong & steady, & has kept us vulnerable to the Delta variant. Republican governors are desperate to get their constituents vaccinated, but meet immense resistance by those who have been radicalized by the propaganda. That propaganda comes to a head in a fishing shop in Montana, where super-grifter Tucker Carlson was confronted by an angry Dan Bailey for his role is America’s division.

The January 6th House Select Committee has begun their investigation into the insurrection. Capitol Officers Dunn & Gonell, along with Metropolitan Officers Fanone & Hodges give gut-wrenching testimonies of the trauma they experienced at the hands of right-wing terrorists. But in true America fashion, they are met with right-wing media spitting in their faces & calling them liars, plus an opposition rally by the 4 Gs (Greene, Gohmert, Gaetz, & Gosar) which is an utter joke that devolves into more nonsense, with the star being a true patriot with a whistle!

The “America First Tour” is back! Greene & Gaetz continue to be a sad mess anywhere they can. Greene is back to using the Holocaust as her stock comparison, & denying responsibility for anti-vax Americans who have lost their lives to COVID. They also (more so Gaetz) got epically trolled by comedian Walter Masterson at a beach rally. & as a cherry on top, at least 3 SoCal venues cancelled their events, at least one of which cited community backlash.

The Texas House Democrats have turned it up a notch! Greg Abbott really wants his voter suppression bill to pass, so the House Dems denied quorum by leaving the state & going to DC, even amid Abbott threatening their arrest. Plus, Corporate Democrats in Congress are scared & trying to protect their own. So-called moderate Democrats Hakeem Jeffries, Josh Gottheimer, & Terri Sewell have started Team Blue PAC, a group designed to help incumbents against progressive primary challengers, because party unity.

Plus, we talk about the upcoming 2nd season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga, & the change that reflects a former cast member joining the cast of Power Book III. And in a small update on Cuba, we react to an NBC interview with Rodolfo Davalos Jr, son of the President of the Cuban Court of Arbitration. & in January 6th news, McCarthy has chosen his 5 for the commission, but Pelosi spotted 2 Trump loyalists & gave ‘em the can.

Step 2: Find clowns to promote it. Rob Schmitt from Newsmax has an interesting hypothesis regarding COVID & evolution, denouncing vaccines as unnatural. Plus, during her show “Just the Truth,” Big Lie promoter Jenna Ellis announced her departure from the Republican Party.

CPAC 2021 has happened & the hilarity is ensuing. Donald Trump explained his pattern of lying to his supporters… & received approval for it. The polls even show how much they still back him, so much so, that propaganda of a 7-point plan to reinstate him was distributed to attendees. Also, Lauren Boebert spouted off a nonsense speech just riddled with hypocrisy & idiocy. But while Caitlyn Jenner hoped to make a splash with her misguided campaign for governor, an attendee recorded himself harassing Jenner in a transphobic manner, clearly intending to send a message that CPAC is where the hate & bigotry lives.

Protests have erupted in Cuba, as a result of lack of food, supplies, & vaccines, largely exacerbated by a continued embargo on the country. Foreign policy is not our forte, but we react & discuss some parts of it, from reactions by American politicians to solidarity protests in Miami.

It’s a tale of 2 Kyrstens! Old video on Senator Sinema has resurfaced. In this 2010 video, she sings a tune that would catch her present day self off-guard. She condemns Joe Lieberman, but has she just turned into him over time?

We talk about how police found a conniving way to respond to being filmed. They’ve begun loudly playing pop music while being recorded to take advantage of copyright policies on various social media. Also, Trump strategist Jason Miller has created GETTR, the newest right-wing social network, & it got off to an interesting start.

ExxonMobil lobbyist Keith McCoy spilled the whole vat of tea! In what he thought was an interview for a more lucrative lobbying position, McCoy named several senators the corporation puppeteers & laid out how deep the strings go.
