The Christian life is like a marathon race. It is made up of many hills and valleys, along with straight and seemingly never ending long and lonely roads. You may start off the race feeling strong and confident, but eventually you will face feelings of fatigue, weariness and exhaustion, and will be tempted to stop running and quit the race. God's will is that you keep running the race that He has set before you, until you come to the finish line, where eternity with Jesus is your eternal prize.

This is a hard one. Men never want to confess their sins, mistakes and failures. But if we don't confess our sins to God, they will come out in a way that will bring harm and ruin into our lives. Jesus ALWAYS forgives us when we are honest with Him about out sin. His desire is that we walk free and without the guilt of sin.

Men never want to admit when they are afraid. But ALL men will have times where they really are fearful and in some cases terrified. Circumstances can enter our lives, and grip any man with great fear. There are times where even if we are afraid, we must NOT show it, for the sake of our wives and children, BUT there are also times where we need to be honest and tell others, and God that we are afraid!

Discouragement is something that we all will battle with from time to time. Discouragement is something in the bible that God warns His people about often. If we are not on guard against discouragement, it can take us out of God's will for our lives. If you are discouraged, know that God is with you, walking you through that dark valley.

Most men are living however they want to live. They go wherever they want, hang with whoever they want, watch whatever they want, marry whoever they want and on and on. God has given us instructions and commands in the Bible of how we are supposed to live. I hope you are challenged and encouraged by today's episode.

Some Christian men find it very difficult to ask other Christian men to be praying for them. We can so often allow our pride, our ego, or our fear, to cause us to not ask for prayer. We will all have times in our lives, where we really do need other godly men to be lifting us up in prayer. There is no shame is asking for prayer!

Life gets busy for all of us, and sometimes that busyness can lead to great fatigue and even burnout. It is important for us to recognize honestly when we arrive at a time in our lives, where we need to step back and take a much needed break. Finding proper seasons of rest is crucial for the long haul. You cannot run on E for long, and you must intentionally pull over to refuel.

There are many things in our world that if we are not wise and walking in self control, can become very addicting and may place us in areas of bondage. Jesus saves us by His grace through our faith, but even still as Christian men, we must be on guard against allowing anything room in our lives that COULD become areas of bondage or addiction. Jesus can and will bring us to a place of deliverance if we go to Him and allow Him to work in these areas.

With our hectic and crazy busy schedules, we can very easily lose track of priorities. One of the greatest priorities to keep in our lives, is a real and honest prayer life with the Lord. God wants us to talk with Him. He has invited us to come (just as we are) and tell Him what we need, and to thank Him for all He has done. We NEED to be men of prayer!
