The Geek Down

After taking a week off to heal both mentally and physically, we're back and better, harder, faster, stronger and more action-packed than ever! Dennis and Jere we're LIVE at "AEW Dynamite!" the new sweetness on TNT. We run down what it was like to attend a non-WWE televised experience, and then we compare what AEW is delivering compared to WWE and WWE NXT!

MARIO KART TOUR disorients our mobile sensibilities. PUNK MAMBO forces Pat to check his West-Indian/Black rage at the door. WEIRD CITY shows how the future can be awesome unless you suck. And indie film VILLAINS breaks down why you should ALWAYS just get out the damn house! Don't ask questions, don't save the cat, just run!

We say "How" and "Why" so many times this episode that the words start to lose meaning. It begins with UNTITLED GOOSE GAME, a puzzle game satisfying everyone's secret desire to be sadistic water-foul. Then it's the quintology sequel nobody asked for, RAMBO: LAST BLOOD. We explore the inexplicably sexy and very explicably ridiculous game I LOVE YOU COLONEL SANDERS, and see if the Colonel gets your "appetite" wet. Amidst it all, THE WRONG EARTH is a comic with solid answers to one of the geekiest arguments you KNOW you've had many times.

NJPW Destruction and NXT! and spend some time previewing the NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashes Show in Lowell! We'll be there! Happy weekend y'all!

In this episode, we talk up the WWE King of the Ring Tournament and its history and talk about the first edition of WWE NXT on USA

A special treat! Like nudity and videogames? Producer Sweet CuppinCakes joins us to talk about "Take it Out and Blow on It: A Burlesque Tribute to Videogames!"

*NOTE: the ticket and Playstation 4 game giveaway has ended and the prizes have already been claimed.*

Along with that we talk BORDERLANDS 3: a whole new class is kicking some ass! SATANIC PANIC, a horror comedy sleeper that'll give funny AF nightmares. Marvel's AGE OF X-MAN, where the mutants surprisingly *aren't* the freaks.

In the house: Shayna Wakefield, Pat B, Manda Panda (@ESHnews)

Discussing a double-dose of Netflix with director McG's "RIM OF THE WORLD" and the long-heralded anime series "CANNON BUSTERS." And then we work the body on Capcom's mobile card-battle game TEPPEN.

In the house: Jere Pilapil, Shayna Wakefield & Pat B

This week we preview WWE Clash of Champions and answer the very important question: if you had a wrestling genie, what would you use it for? Also a little Stardom talk and a full explanation of who tried to kill Roman Reigns and failed horribly.

Even immortal-nightmare-demon-clowns can hold sorority-esque grudges! Stephen King's back terrizing children in IT: CHAPTER TWO. And speaking of grudges, Netflix's DARK CRYSTAL: AGE OF RESISTANCE shows why the Skeksis hold a 1000-year vindictive vendetta in the 1982 classic film. In grossly extensive and extensively gross detail. Go from extreme to excruciating in the deceptively punishing platformer ROBBIE SWIFTHAND. And adding a silver-lined digestif to the bleakness -- USAGI YOJIMBO proves that even in the darkest hellish situations there's always hope in those who fight for good (and the MIGHT be adorable)

In this very sleepy episode, we talk the fall out to AEW All Out, the highlights of NXT UK: Takeover Cardiff and we celebrate Big Strong Boys!
