  • Geek Down 9-3-19 - Wu Assassins, Angel Has Fallen, Bad Luck Chuck, & Party Hard 2 Alien Butt Form
PARTY HARD 2: ALIEN BUTT FORM definitively proves that extraterrestrials are coming, so you'd better clench... hard! ANGEL HAS FALLEN is the most hardcore political action drama to come out of 1991. The WU ASSASSIN is a chef who kills -- remember that next time you try to dine and dash! And BAD LUCK CHUCK shows that even negative Karma can be exploited for capitalist gains.

  • Wrestledown 8-28-19 - Why Bacome NXT UK
Yo! This week, we tackle how little news there is this week ahead and preview yet another weekend of too much wrestling: WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff and the much more succinct AEW All Out. Are these shows worth our time? What do we want from AEW's final PPV before they go to TV in October? All these and bugs and beans! On the Wrestledown!

  • Geek Down 8-27-19 - Ready or Not, Invader Zim, Sinestro, Scary Stories To Tell
It's murder meeting the in-laws. We talk READY OR NOT, a film about a family who takes their gaming seriously! Then see how a villain games the system in SINESTRO: YEAR OF THE VILLAIN. And in INVADER ZIM: ENTER THE FLORPUS, the decade-long cat-and-mouse game concludes... in death! Or dumbness. Either works. But no one's playing games in SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK. Stakes is high!

  • WrestleDown 8-21-19 - Early to rise, early to pinfall
We recorded this one early, with a weekend of few major events in between. So we took time to praise Netflix's GLOW and the Stardom 5-Star Grand Prix. We also preview NJPW Royal Quest and their Super J-Cup Tournament. Finally, we talk heels and talk about our favorite heel turns in honor of The Boss Sasha Banks!

  • Geek Down 8-20-19 - WWE SummerSlam, Rockos Modern Life, Good Boys, Marvel 80th Anniversary
Being a kid has never seemed so adult in the Seth Rogen coming-of-age film GOOD BOYS, starring three young boys having a hell of a weekend. A blast from the past gets flung into the future with ROCKO'S MODERN LIFE: STATIC CLING tackling societal norms, conservative progressives, gender and tolerance. Marvel Comics celebrates 80 years strong with it's 80TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL EDITION - a timeline display of how they took their earliest stories from "wth??" to "WTF!!" And WWE SummerSlam was mostly bark and little bite this time around. Jere Pilapil and Brendo T give the high-flying highs and lowdown on low-blows.

  • Geek Down 8-13-19 - Hobbs & Shaw, Muse Dash, Prodigy, Typewriter
Get ready for HOBBS & SHAW: A bromance thriller featuring black superman, daisy-chained hotrods, tricked-out motorcycles, punked-out choppers, and enough machismo to make a newborn fail a piss-test! And of course -- family! Speaking of families, one plagiarizes a poltergeist and pays for it in Netflix's TYPEWRITER. Mark Millar's PRODIGY does the impossible, narrates it, and even shows you his work! And you like jpop? Well the rhythm game MUSE DASH shoves lots of it right up your enjoyment hole!

  • Wrestledown 8-9-19 - Too Much Wrestling Weekend Preview
Hello! This week, we tackle a weekend where there's just too much wrestling (aka just barely enough). We talk about the G1 Climax (the finals are Saturday-Monday, so you won't have to hear us gush about NJPW soon!), NXT Takeover: Toronto, and how that looks good. Then, we'll be ending the weekend with Summerslam, which sure is the biggest party of the summer (I am not sure I want to be there the full length, and everyone is gonna be sweaty). Listen up and wrestle down!

  • Geek Down 8-6-19 - Sukeban Turbo, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, The Boys, Scriptum AR Escape Room
If it bleeds, you still can't kill it...
Returning to the directors chair, Quintin Tarantino goes historical parallel-fiction in ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. THE BOYS brings a supremely bloody, violent, and lightheartedly vulgar Garth Ennis anti-hero classic to Amazon Video. The mean city streets are nothing compared to a teenage girl with angst and boy-band connections! And The augmented reality game SCRIPTUM AR ESCAPE ROOM will augment your ability to enjoy.

  • Wrestledown 8-5-19 - Fashionably Late, Very Cool.mp3
In this episode, we cover the latest G1 Climax news (as of August 1). Jere was late to editing, so this episode is a little fashionably late, which is perfect because we try to give WWE some pointers on how to be COOL again. Listen up, Wrestle Down!
