  • Geek Down 8-13-18: Blackkklansman, Chasm (for real), The Meg, Pacific Rim Aftermath, Will Smith show
Had enough of robots vs. monsters? ...Neither have we! PACIFIC RIM: AFTERMATH is on tonight. And just when you thought it was safe to go back in the 11-mile deep water, someone had unleash a shark with gigantism! We're diving deep into THE MEG. And in BLACKKKLANSMAN Spike Lee takes a departure from his subtle, understated films to tell an in-your-face rendition of "Black Klansman (2014)," the true story of Ron Stallworth, the police officer who infiltrated the KKK in the late 1970s.

  • Geek Down 8 - 6-18: Equalizer 2, The Theta Girl, Adult Swim's SuperMansion Summer Vacation Special
Not even DEATH can save your ass from Denzel’s wrath in EQUALIZER 2. 5 years in the making, Discord Games’ Kickstarted 2D platform Metroid-like dungeon adventure CHASM finally releases. (but… was it worth the wait?) Drugs might kill you… religion might kill you… in fact, the only thing that probably WON’T kill you are the would-be killers, in the low-budget indie film THE THETA GIRL. And Adult Swim takes a note from Tiny Toon Adventures (pause to appreciate ancient reference) with an event no one asked for: the SUPERMANSION SUMMER VACATION SPECIAL.

  • Geek Down 7-16-18: Netflix's Sacred Games & Jolie Lavie
Netflix's SACRED GAMES puts an Indian spin on gritty mob culture, and it's supremely badass. Not to be outdone, UNITED COLORS OF BURLESQUE is representing all flavors of the sexy spectrum. The ferociously fierce Jolie LaVie came in to talk life, equality, and the trials, tribulations, tragedies and triumphs of burlesque. The new show United Colors of Burlesque promises to be phenomenal. Sadly we ran out of time before getting to the other geeky goodness. You'll have to tune in next time!

  • Geek Down 7-9-18: Ant Man & The Wasp, Incognegro Renaissance, Riff, Frankie Stein with HERstory
ANT MAN & THE WASP shows it ain't the size of the boat, big things in small packages, and several other metaphors about shrinkage. The comic INCOGNEGRO covers a rich spectrum on the black and whites of being black and white. The game RIFF puts you in the middle of a jam session (before or after a bender is still up for debate). And the incomparable Frankie Stein calls-in to talk about badass XX-chromosomes through history in HERSTORY

  • Geek Down 7 - 1-18 Luke Cage S2, Rifter On STEAM, Gotti, Bill & Ted Burlesque
LUKE CAGE SEASON 2 sees the bulletproof man return to Harlem where some bumbaclot rudeboys wan box. Cage finna ‘it 'im inna 'im ‘ead! John Travolta's GOTTI is like if Scorsese did a bad Hype Williams impression. The stylish as hell and hard as balls platformer RIFTER dips it's foot in neon before it stomps you in the ass. With Synthwave! It's a synthwave ass-stomping. And the most Wyld of Stallyns, MARY WIDOW, comes to discuss BILL & TED'S SEXELLENT ADVENTURE. Somewhere we learn to be excellent to each other.
