  • E3 Recap (2017) Derrick, Jonny, and Pat's coverage
Holy fruits! Normally E3 is a bland showcase of publishers making cool games seem LESS cool by ham-fistedly trying to make them seem MORE cool. This years E3, however, threw us a couple curves. Sure there was banal, par for the course presentations but here and there our minds were obliterated by some solid presentings. Dirty D and Just Jonny give the breakdown with Pat bringing up the rear.

  • Geek Down 5-15-17 - You thought they wouldn't, but they did
On this episode things get phallic, HR Giger-style, with Alien: Covenant. The worst-case scenario of prenatal vitamins going bad with the slasher/horror/comedy film "Prevenge." We mind our hands and avert our eyes for the most chaste and wholesome review of the steam game "Bloody Boobs." And our in-house guest from Reliable Bud gives us the straight dope on sticky green

  • Bloody Boobs (2017) Mx's game review
Mx. Macabre had WAY too much fun playing Bloody Boobs. You play a young beautiful girl with a tasty body (THEIR words), and it can mean only one thing – you’re perfect for human sacrifice to an ancient god! Try to get out of the labyrinth with a help of your teammates. Apparently more fun than it sounds. Question is - was it because of fun gameplay? Or because BOOBS?

Jonny got to check out Alien: Covenant. While there, they meet David (Michael Fassbender), the synthetic survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. The mysterious world soon turns dark and dangerous when a hostile alien life-form forces the crew into a deadly fight for survival. Amongst several Alien fans and apparently a couple of Prometheus apologists, he gives us the lowdown.

  • Prevenge (2017) Whole crew's review
We all got to check out the indie film "Prevenge" about a widow, Ruth, who is seven months pregnant and properly batshit crazy. Guided by her unborn baby, she embarks on a homicidal rampage, dispatching anyone who stands in her way. Our opinions were mixed about this so-called comedy. Check out the review

  • John Oliver and Net Neutrality (2017) discussion
On his show 'Last Week Tonight,' John Oliver revisited the issue of net neutrality amid threats of rollbacks. The Republican-led Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has been actively trying to roll back the agency's Obama-era net neutrality rules. Net neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers and governments regulating the Internet should treat all data on the Internet the same, not discriminating or charging differentially by user, content, website, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or mode of communication. This would have a monstrous impact - companies like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon would be able to decide who is heard and who isn’t. They’d be able to block websites or content they don’t like or applications that compete with their own offerings. On June 14, 2016, a federal appeals court upheld the open-internet protections in all respects after a decade-long battle with phone and cable companies and their lobbyists. Crucial for small business owners, startups and entrepreneurs, who rely on the open internet to launch their businesses, create markets, advertise their products and services, and reach customers, Net Neutrality lowers the barriers of entry by preserving the internet’s fair and level playing field. It’s because of Net Neutrality that small businesses and entrepreneurs have been able to thrive online. The call asks users to visit goFCCyourself.com and make their opinions known. We talk about it in detail, and highly encourage listeners to speak up.
