Bad Rap follows the lives and careers of four Asian-American rappers trying to break into a world that often treats them as outsiders. From battle rhymes of crowd-favorite Dumbfoundead to the tongue-in-cheek songs of Awkwafina, the unapologetic visuals of Rekstizzy to conflicted values of Lyricks, the film paints a memorable portrait of artistic passion in the face of an unsung struggle. Sharing dynamic live performance footage and revealing interviews, these artists make the most skeptical critics into believers. And we can't hate (most of us, anyway), this review turned into a hip hop love fest as the whole thing sparked up nostalgia for Derrick, Billy, and Pat. Jonny had a different opinion, however. After being blown away a couple years ago by the first Guardians movie, we were less enthused about this follow-up. Don't get me wrong, it was fun and enjoyable. But you know how sometimes you can FEEL that something was designed by committee? This felt like one of those, and Pat, Adam, and Derrick give insight into why. The story:Peter Quill and his fellow Guardians are hired by a powerful alien race, the Sovereign, to protect their precious batteries from invaders. When it is discovered that Rocket has stolen the items they were sent to guard, the Sovereign dispatch their armada to search for vengeance. As the Guardians try to escape, the mystery of Peter's parentage is revealed.

As film fans, we were effected by the passing of Jonathan Demme. Adam takes a minute to reflect on the loss. Robert Jonathan Demme was an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He rose to prominence in the 1980s with his comedy films Melvin and Howard, Swing Shift, Something Wild, and Married to the Mob.

Jonny and Pat got to check out the "parkour racing game" Distance. Both fans of different kinds of racers, these two were surprisingly in agreement over this one. Distance is survival racing. Fusing arcade racing action with exploration, your car must survive by boosting, jumping, rotating, and flying through a deadly and mysterious city. Save for one or two suspect matches, WWE Payback 2017 was ultimately unexpectedly entertaining. WWE did a good job of leaving fans wanting more for the next night's Raw, and the Smackdown versus Raw rivalry going strong. A couple of changeovers, a heel-turn or two, and even a ship-jump kept the pace. Was this enough to win over the tough audience of proper wrestling fans, however? JM gives the full report.

Ja Rule’s Luxury Fyre Music Festival turned into one of the biggest concert debaccles so far this decade. The Fyre Festival, a high-end multi-day music event in the Bahamas that promised an experience "fit for a king or queen" has been the subject of regular ridicule after leaving guests stranded in the Bahamas, with multiple reports about the entire event being chaos and a scam. Attendees described the festival as a "nightmare," with flight delays, unsavory dining options and generally awful organization. On top of that, it cost them thousands of dollars and didn't NEARLY live up to the claims. We go in hard and deep on this one
