Jeff and Rocky discuss the explosion of boy bands that seemed to come onto the scene in the 80's, led by the likes of Menudo and NKOTB.  And, in fairness, they dedicate a segment to girl bands of the era as well... En Vogue anyone?  And, while the subject of expanding waistbands never actually comes up in the discussion... believe me, that cruel twist of nature is always on the minds of a couple of middle-aged guys!

The guys discuss 70's era media-based educational efforts, like The Electric Company, Zoom, Highlights magazine, and Scholastic book orders. They then challenge each other to a battle of sit-com catchphrases... how many do you remember?

Through a stream of consciousness discussion ranging from quicksand, to Johnny Appleseed, to books of all levels, our team ends up exploring the depths of Jeff's cranium.  It is a challenging and confusing place, but it's also full of laughter and music! Join us, won't you?

The guys think back to Sunday mornings, which meant full color comics in the newspaper!  They try to recall the order/layout of the various strips in their local paper, and though they can't always agree, they do remember the 1940's holdover, "Blondie," always occupying some prime front page real estate.  What were your favorite Sunday comics?

WIth the realization that we now have a listener in South Korea, and reflecting a complete lack of knowledge regarding the geopolitics of the Korean peninsula, Jeff worries that Kim Jung Un may be looking to steal his intellectual property.  Once Jeff's fears are assuaged, the conversation shifts to lighter fare, with a discussion about childhood fears surrounding sleepovers and backyard campouts, and finally to a review of the top theatrical summer blockbusters from the years 1980-1989!  This may be just what the doctor ordered during this unprecedented summer when there will be no theatrical releases... for the first time in our lifetimes!

Jeff dons some stylish headwear to pay homage to hard rock royalty from the 80's.  Do you love to reminisce about shrill-voiced, chemically altered front men who were sometimes prone to violence?  Us too!  This is just the podcast episode for you! 

They guys talk about their best concert experiences of the 80's and lament the ones they never saw.  Some of those concert lapses can still be corrected, and still may be, but sadly many of those artists have moved on.  

Jeff and Rocky revisit some of their early job experiences, including a job that they both shared.  They then remember another classic movie from the 80's, this time, the "comic-book" horror juggernaut that was Creepshow! 

Jeff's birthday has always been very important (to him) and he's always wanted everyone to know about it.  He and Rocky reflect on his first efforts at bringing his special day to other's attention, dating back to early childhood.  They then discuss one of their favorite movies from the 80's, Fast Times at Ridgemont High.  From Spicoli to Stacy, from Ratner to Roosevelt, from Mr "Coppola" to Mr. Hand... they recall all of their favorite memories contained within this coming of age classic.  And, while there were many memories... two seemed to perk out above all the rest!  "Life's the same, except for my shoes..."
