A family is mourning the loss of a loved one and Baltimore County Police are investigating after a woman was gunned down Thursday afternoon. It happened inside the parking lot of Catonsville Plaza right off Baltimore National Pike in Baltimore County. Just before 1:00 p.m. Baltimore County police responded to the area after they were told a woman had been shot several times. Officers said when they arrived they found 26-year-old Diamond Trueheart who had been shot down and she died from her injures. Police have not named any suspects or a motive concerning what they think led to the shooting however, they did say they’re looking into whether it was a targeted incident. Right now, police are asking anyone with information regarding what happen to contact them and there is a $2,000.00 reward from Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland for anyone who has information that could lead police to an arrest.

Derricka Patrick's mother put out a tearful plea Friday night to find who killed her daughter. "It hurts so bad. I want my baby back," said Christine Blanton, Patrick's mother. "You took a beautiful young lady out of this world. You took her from her family. I can't have my baby anymore. I want my baby. You all took my baby from me. And God gave her to me for 29 years. And you just took my baby's life like that. That's not right." Patrick was a vibrant young woman, her godmother said, and beloved hair stylist on Chicago's South Side. Patrick was 4 months pregnant with her second child when police said two gunmen got out of their car Wednesday evening and opened fire around in the 7400-block of South Vincennes Avenue. Patrick, 29, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Chicago police offer $15,000 rewards for information leading to an arrest for murders. #DominiqueParchmon was 30 years old who also lived in Michigan. Dominqiue was described as outgoing, charismatic, and nurturing. According to reports, she loved outdoors and traveling when she got the chance. Dominque was also a mother. She had a 12-year-old daughter who she loved and cared for deeply. Her daughter was her pride and joy.

Authorities in Milwaukee say a Burger King employee fired a gun during an attempted armed robbery, but that it’s not yet clear who fired the shots that killed a 16-year-old cashier. Police are still investigating whether the robbery suspect also fired a weapon and did not say the co-worker’s gunshots killed Niesha Harris-Brazell. However, prosecutors have charged the co-worker with possessing a gun as a felon. According to a criminal complaint, the 34-year-old male employee could be seen on surveillance video firing his weapon at the robbery suspect who had leaned into the drive-thru window holding a gun. Police say the robbery suspect has not been located. The shooting happened about 10 p.m. Sunday on the city’s west side.

The attempted robber, a Milwaukee Police statement indicates, is a Black male with a heavy build. “He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and was armed with a handgun," reads the statement. "The suspect vehicle is described as black 4-door Chevy Impala with a sunroof and spoiler on the back." According to her LinkedIn page, McGhee served as a supply and logistics specialist in the Navy for four years before retiring in 2014. Over the past five years, she had worked as a medical support assistant at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Derika was described by friends and family as loving, hardworking, and caring. She was also a mother. Her father said she was an 'awesome' mother whose life revolved around her son. He said his 8year old grandson Aiden was 'the life of the party' who loved to run, play baseball, dance on TikTok, and enjoyed playing Uno with him.

Authorities are searching for whoever is responsible for the shooting death of a 15-year-old track star in Baytown, Texas. On Tuesday morning, the body of Jania Tatum-Scott was found in an open field at Tejas Park, about 30 miles east of Houston. She had been shot to death. Jania's mom, Angie Tatum, tells KPRC-2 that her daughter spent a lot of time at the park, which was right across from her apartment. She said that the park was one of Jania's favorite places. No one has been arrested for the shooting, and it's unclear whether it was a random attack. In a statement, Baytown Police Chief John Stringer said authorities are still investigating.

Ohio authorities investigating the June killing of Makenzi Ridley — a 17-year-old high school student who owned and operated her own boutique — have released surveillance footage of the suspected shooter. The footage, released Tuesday, allegedly shows the male juvenile suspect fleeing the scene of the crime, which occurred outside a recreation center in Columbus six months ago. Ridley was killed on June 24, a statement from police confirms. The gunman fired from atop the Far East Community Center, according to police. Lauren Smith-Fields was found unresponsive inside her Plymouth Street apartment on Dec. 12 and later died. The medical examiner has not released the cause of death, and investigators are not commenting. Family says Smith-Fields met an "older white man" on Bumble and it was he who alerted police to her death. Lakeem, her brother, says he asked authorities about the man but was told he was a nice guy with no need to be investigated. Smith-Fields father says the only contact they've had with police is with a "very insensitive, condescending and arrogant detective."

The City of Bridgeport issued a statement about the investigation saying, "The Bridgeport Police Department takes these concerns very seriously. The Command Staff of the Detective Bureau is reviewing the handling of this case to ensure that best practices were and are being followed. It is imperative to note that the death of Lauren Smith-Fields remains an ongoing investigation. Our department extends its deepest condolences to the family of Lauren."

Two girls are dead after a shooting in Whitehaven that also injured another teen and a 9-month-old baby Friday night. The shooting happened around 9:30 at a gas station on Elvis Presley Boulevard, just down the street from Graceland.

Memphis Police said the victims, three teenage girls and a baby, were at a gas pump inside a red Infiniti when a dark-colored Nissan pulled up beside them and fired several shots. The driver of the Nissan fled the scene.

A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, but police reported Saturday morning that they had died from their injuries. Another 16-year-old and the baby are listed in non-critical condition.

A Chicago police officer was denied bail Saturday, charged with murder in the shooting death of the 29-year-old mother of his 9-month-old after they argued about another woman, prosecutors said. Pierre Tyler, 29, appeared before Judge Charles Beach during a hearing that was audio-streamed live on YouTube Saturday afternoon.

Tyler was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Andris B. Wofford, who died of a gunshot wound to the chin, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and the Police Department.

The shooting happened between Dec. 7 at 4:30 p.m. and Dec. 9 at 9:49 a.m., Assistant State’s Attorney Craig Engebretson said in court. Officer Steve Rusanov, a police spokesman, said Tyler was “relieved of police powers.” Tyler, who will be held in “protective custody” while at Cook County Jail, is due back in court Monday.
