Welden, an 18-year-old Bennington College sophomore who walked onto the Long Trail one

November afternoon in 1946… and was never seen again.

Across three cinematic chapters, we explore:

CHAPTER 1 — The Mountain That Remembers

The strange history of Glastenbury Mountain, a place the Abenaki once warned was alive… a

place where sound dies, compasses falter, and the forest seems to lean in and listen. Here we

meet Paula: quiet, restless, radiant in her bright red parka—stepping onto the trail with no idea

she is walking into a legend.

CHAPTER 2 — The Search That Found Nothing

The frantic multi-day search that drew hundreds into the freezing woods with lanterns, dogs, and

fading hope. No footprints. No torn cloth. No trace. Even the red coat refused to be found.

Searchers spoke of “silent pockets,” strange warmth in the air, radios that lagged by a heartbeat,

and the creeping sense they were being watched by something old and patient.

CHAPTER 3 — The Forest That Eats People

Paula’s story is only one thread in a pattern of disappearances stretching across five years: a

woodsman, a veteran, a child, a hiker. Five vanished. One mountain. Zero answers. As folklore

and fact twist together, Glastenbury begins to look less like wilderness… and more like a
