I want to thank the many women who contributed to this investigation by taking the time to answer my survey questions. This research project is born from my passion for understanding and creating a better and more positive outlook on female health. It is a triumph for younger Emily, who would have never believed the things she has gone on to achieve.

I want to dedicate this dissertation to all the women worldwide who have ever felt a sense of shame surrounding their menstrual cycle and hope that together, this is another step closer to regaining our period power.
