The Give Me Five Podcast: An Uncultured Look at Pop Culture and Nostalgia

On November 12th, 2018 Stan Lee passed away. Stan Lee created many of the biggest Marvel superheroes we see in comics, TV and movies today. Spider-Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Panther, Iron Man, Groot, Green Goblin, Doctor Doom and many more got their backstory and personality under Stan Lee's watch. But even with the thousands of heroic adventures on the pages and silver screen, Stan Lee's life just might be the most amazing story of all.

Join us as we chat about Stan Lee's life, and mourn his passing.

We also chat a bit about the Electric Daisy Carnival 2018, and Red Dead Redemption online.

This week we answer the question: what are your 5 favorite Stan Lee cameos?

Remember if you use our link (https://amzn.to/2NSaxLU) we get a little bit of money towards server costs at no extra cost to you. So go ahead and buy that Stan Lee Pop that you need.

After a planned week off, we are back with a huge variety of topics. Rob tries to explain to Greg why all the game nerds are all raging against Blizzard and Diablo, Jimmy checked out Spooky Empire, Greg was impressed by the huge changes on The Walking Dead, and Jimmy was too busy playing Red Dead Redemption to pay attention to anything else. Also Rob binged The Chilling Tales of Sabrina, and Greg and Jimmy checked out the sound quality on the ...and Justice for All Remaster album by Metallica. Busy week. Oh, and Rob got a puppy and you can hear it squeaking on a chew toy throughout the episode.

This week there are 2 questions:

For Rob, in honor of his first offensive Instagram post, what are the 5 things Rob is NOT allowed to post on Instagram?

and for Greg and Jimmy, the resident metalheads, what are our 5 favorite Metallica songs?

Remember if you use our link (https://amzn.to/2NSaxLU) we get a little bit of money towards server costs at no extra cost to you. So go ahead and buy that Nicolas Cage Throw Pillow that you need.

We are finishing up October with a spooky bang as we finish up our review of Halloween Horror Nights Orlando, this time talking about the Stranger Things House and all of the scare zones. (Including Killer Klowns from Outer Space)

We pause from the scary to talk about Greta Van Fleet's new album Anthem of the Peaceful Army and about an amazing Meet and Greet experience with Joel, Johah, Crow and Tom Servo from MST3K, at MST3K Live 30th Anniversary show.

We also can't ignore the huge WWE news about Roman Reigns battle with Leukemia, but we don't get too deep in to WWE talk, we promise.

And keep an eye out for a very special Halloween Episode later this week, featuring... Halloween (2018)

And our question of the week, what are the 5 worst things you have ever found in your trick or treat bag? (personally)

Its a pretty "dark" week for us.

A few weeks ago we talked about how October gets really, really busy. This week that sheer amount of stuff to talk about caught up with us, and we ran a bit long. BUT, we got to talk about Venom, the Halloween 4 and Blumhouse (Purge, Happy Death Day) haunted houses at Universal, the brilliant and moody Haunting of Hill House, the new Gunship album Dark All Day, and a Netflix original film Hold the Dark.

And our question of the week, what are the 5 best cinematic haunted houses?
