The Give Me Five Podcast: An Uncultured Look at Pop Culture and Nostalgia

M Night Shyamalan (thanks spellcheck!) has released Glass, the long awaited(?) sequel to Unbreakable. Was it good Shyamalan (Sixth Sense, Split) or bad Shyamalan (Lady in the Water, The Happening) Jimmy ventured out to the theater to let us know.

Then we went back in time to review the cult classic fantasy film Willow. Greg had never seen it before, so what did he think?

We also went back even furthur to check out the WW1 documentary They Shall Not Grow Old by Peter Jackson. This incredible film takes 100 year old, unwatchable footage and cleans it up to bring the horrors of war onto the big screen. It's a must see.

And our question of the week, what are your favorite holiday tv specials?

Remember if you use our link (https://amzn.to/2KxR8OU) we get a little bit of money towards server costs at no extra cost to you. So go ahead and buy that VHS Cover Art Book you've always wanted.

It's episode 69! And as a precaution we had to put Rob on a 5 minute delay. But we also took some time to talk about the latest news regarding Ghostbusters 3, and The Who.

As for topics we cover Season 5 of Gotham: Year Zero, True Detective season 3 (does it feel like the wonderful season 1 or the convoluted season2), and the unique, French Zombie film The Night Eats the day.

And our question of the week: What are the 5 most important evolutions in zombie films and televisions (in sequential order)?

We FINALLY cover Aquaman. Did DC make a film worthy of the glorious pectoral muscled Jason Momoa? Also, we try to unravel Black Mirror Bandersnatch and figure out if Bird Box is worth the hype or if it's just a Quiet Place ripoff. Also The Orville made its grand return and we review the first 2 episodes of season 2.

We also talk quite a bit about doorbell licking tweakers and some big Star Wars news.

And our question of the week: What are we most looking forward to seeing / reviewing in 2019?

For the last episode (of 2018) we are going back to 1987 to check out Bumblebee. What did we think of the new direction for the Transformers, and should it be considered a reboot? For some inexplicable reason (parasol fetish) Rob decided to see Mary Poppins Returns, so thats also a thing. We also talk a bit about the new revalations about Disney's Galaxy's Edge Star Wars land

Jimmy was away, so our friend Omar joined up and brought his unique historical perspective to the question of the week:

What are the 5 best 80's movies that were not made in the 80's?
