TECH TUESDAY [STUDIO]: Eyerus is a safety app aimed at
tackling contact crime in South Africa. The app enables you
to indicate how safe or unsafe you feel in your current
surroundings through the use of four safety status modes.
The app was a winner in the recent MTN Business App of the
Year Awards. We’re joined in studio by Sibusiso Mbhele,
Founder of Eyerus.

October marks National Breast Cancer
Awareness Month and we now find out more an

organization that helps breast cancer survivors regain
their self-esteem by providing them with detachable
breast prosthetics. We now speak to Carla Lind,
Chairlady of Reach for Recovery in the Western Cape.

It’s been three days since the municipal

manager of Nkangala District Municipality in
Mpumalanga, Maggie Sikhosana and her assistant
were kidnapped. Sikhosana and her assistant were
accosted by men driving a private car outside the

municipal gates. Her car and wheelchair have since
been found in Middelburg. We now speak to
Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy
Mohlala.

fashion designer David Tlale is showcasing his
Spring/Summer Collection at Melrose Arch, Joburg
tomorrow evening. The Vosloorus-born designer has a
career spanning close to two decades. The David Tlale
brand is an imprint across Africa and the top fashion

Campaign about a report on the mistreatment of HIV
patients in the Eastern Cape. This is the second edition of
the Eastern Cape State of Health report by Ritshidze
which is a community-led monitoring system developed
by organisations representing people living with HIV. We
now speak to Anele Yawa who is the General Secretary of
the TAC.

BE DRIVEN: Entrepreneur Miles Kubheka has re-
introduced the weigh and pay model that enables
customers to buy food with whatever amount of money
they have. Kubheka is the founder of Gcwalisa, a unique
tuckshop in Alexandra, Johannesburg that uses refillable
dispensers to allow customers to buy for as little as R5.
