Flooding and heavy rains are wreaking havoc on KZN. Authorities are still trying to assess damage, and emergency services say they are overwhelmed by reports of collapsed houses, landslides, and washed-away roads. We now speak to Nonala Ndlovu, spokesperson of Corporative Governance and Traditional Affairs in KZN.

The beginning of the trial of five men accused of killing Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa has been postponed to tomorrow at the Pretoria High Court.

All of the men are behind bars serving sentences for different crimes, while others are still awaiting trial.

Meyiwa was shot dead at his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s home, almost eight years ago.

A military court in Burkina Faso has handed down a life term to former president Blaise Compaore for the murder of his predecessor Thomas Sankara. The long-awaited verdict brought to close a six-month trial about the murder of Sankara, who was assassinated during a coup led by his friend and comrade-in-arms Compaoré on October 15, 1987.
