Walter Sisulu University student Sibongile
Mani has been sentenced to five years in prison. The
mother of two was found guilty of theft by the East
London Regional Court last month after she spent over
R800,000 of the money that she received from NSFAS.
She was paid an amount of R14 million instead of R1,400
in June 2017 by Cape Town-based company, Intellimali.

Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla “Lux”
Mohlauli has been granted R1,500 bail by the
Roodepoort magistrate’s court. The Dudula leader was
arrested on Thursday last week after Victor Ramerafe
opened a case at the Dobsonville police station. This
followed a raid at Ramerafe’s home by the movement’s
supporters, who had accused him of drug dealing. We
