In this episode, I'm talking about all of the reflecting I've been doing in the month of December and breaking down my self-care activities to keep myself going. We're jumping into business that isn't ours and talking about Da Baby and Danileigh and Summer Walker's strife with London on Da Track's baby mothers. Then, I'm talking about the book I read this week, "The meaning of Mariah Carey," which, essentially, changed my life. I put you on game and give you my top three all without forgetting to announce that I have a crush on Alic Walls and see myself marrying him in the foreseeable future. Finally, in our reflection moment, we're talking about truly removing ourselves from situations that hurt us and how we heal in forgiving others and wishing them well.
Make sure you drop me a voice memo to be featured in future episodes! Don't let me be out here talking to myself.
In this episode, I was highly disrespected by my metabolism and officially welcomed into the thick thigh club. Just in case you forgot ISSA PANDEMIC we're currently in but people are outside?? celebrating their birthdays?? in 2020?? The insensitivity of it all. During book club we discuss the books I read this week, "More Myself" by Alicia Keys and "Wholeness" by Toure Roberts. I put you on by giving you my top 3 songs at the moment we're versatile over here, we jump between amapiano, to twerking with the girls and R&B that's good for the soul. And of course, we take time for a moment of reflection before we face the rest of the week ahead.
Today is my heart's first 1st birthday and you are cordially invited to my private party. I'm 365 post-op, and I'm just out here... living. They thought I wouldn't make it, but look at me now. In this episode, I talk you through my process, diagnosis and battle with a Congenital Heart Disease and eventual open heart surgery. I delve into the low lows of the journey that brought me to physical healing and restoration. I'm sure whichever walk of life you're in and whatever you may be facing in this season, there will be times when you need to be reminded to pick yourself up and face the fight. So, here's your reminder to keep on keeping on.
