Oneee last timeeee I need to be the oneeee to put you onnnn! It's the season 1 finale and when we come back for season 2, we're making some changes. Today we're talking about different types of boundaries and setting up the appropriate ones in your sphere of influence. There's nothing wrong with ensuring you're comfortable before you deal with anyone else. Then I get a lil emotional about being 21 episodes in so bear with me. And in top 3 we're listening to Lizzo & Cardi B, J. Cole and Destiny's Child.

DO IT LIKE ITS YOUR BDAAAYYYYYY. Anyone else can't get it out of their heads? Today, class is in session, we're being assertive and releasing ourselves from the bondage of What Ifs and what others think of us. We're confidently showing up and asserting ourselves, letting it be known exactly what it is we want, need, desire and deserve. I'm the perfect teacher to teach this class as I passed the exam just last week. I'm spilling some of my personal tea and want to inspire and empower you to occupy spaces and speak confidently and unashamed.
WE'RE VERY LATE, and I'm so sorry! But that's how you know it's gonna be GOOD. This week we are unlearning our toxic habits and behaviours. I'm spilling some of my personal business, because hey, you don't heal from what you don't reveal. We're getting better and discussing Iyanla Vanzant's book "Thought Therapy Get Over It". In this week's Top 3, I get the pleasure of introducing you to Aisha J who is a phenomenal singer & songwriter, and then we get into some Normani & Destiny's Child.
This week we’re talking all things CONFIDENCE. How do I show up in the world as confident when I’m still unsure of myself? How do I show up as confident when I’m still dealing with so much and tbh, am quite lost? We're talking about how you can be confidently lost as you make your way through life and become the bold and bodacious version of yourself. We’re getting into some black girl magic as we discuss Sha’Carri Richardson, then we’re diving into Yvonne Orji’s book Bamboozled by Jesus. Finally, in our Top 3 we go from Jazmine Sullivan, to Brent Faiyaz & Drake, to Sabrina Claudio.
This week we're Checking In! Even when others aren't available to check on us and make sure we're doing okay mentally, we have to show up and be that for yourself so you don't crash and burn in the long run. We're talking normalising therapy and how we see it on TV, you ever watched Iyanla Fix My Life? It's a game changer. And of course, we had to discuss Blue Therapy. Then, in Book Club we discuss Michelle Williams' book "Checking In - How Being Real About My Depression Saved My Life And Can Save Yours". And finally, during this week's Top 3, we go from Chloe Bailey to Yung Bleu to H.E.R and dissecting the lyrics from her debut album.
Today we’re talking about friendship. It’s the ins and outs of setting healthy boundaries and showing up for yourself so that you can show up for others. We have to get into Porsha Williams and Falynn Guobadia’s lack of friendship as Porsha announces her engagement to Simon Guobadia. In Book club, we’re talking about celebrating other women rather can competing with them in Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Woman Evolve. Finally, in Top 3 we go from J. Cole, to T-Pain & Kehlani, to The Walls Group.
Give it to me, I'm ✨worth it✨
This week we're talking about our self-worth and how much we deserve to live out whole, full and healed lives. We're hopping out of our own business for a hot minute to talk about LaToya Forever and Adam Ali and their volatile divorce and them poor babies who are in the middle. Then, we're finally digging into Sarah Jakes Roberts' book Woman Evolve: Break Up with Your Fears and Revolutionize Your Life and it's the BEST book club we've had so far. Then, in our Top Three I'm putting you on to Dawn Richards, Sammie and Khalid & Disclosure and I'm diving in the deep end by blindly dissecting our song of the week.
WHEWWWW did ya miss me? Because I missed you. Today, we’re back! And we’re talking prioritising ourselves and our peace. I also had to get into the City Girls and how Lil Uzi Vert was talking to Caresha crazy on IG live. Where they do that at?! In book club this week, I’m announcing our book of the month which is Woman Evolve by Sarah Jakes Roberts. Then, in Top 3 we’re going from Silk Sonic, to PJ Morton to Madison Ryann Ward, don’t ever say I didn’t put you on.
We woke up today and chose violence. It’s the mid-season finale so before I take my lul break I’m giving you tips and tools to combat dominant negative thought patterns in your life. We're divorcing negative thoughts and anxious thoughts and the voices that tell us we can't. I wanna see you win. Then, we’re talking about Meek Mill and his line about Kobe Bryant in the recently leaked song. And, in book club, we’re getting into We’re going to need more wine by Gabrielle Union and a few other books that have been changing my life in this season.
Finally, in our top three we're going from Kelly Rowland, to Dreamville and finally Erykah Badu. ALSO, check out our official top three playlist on Spotify.
