  • I Wanna Forgive You... And I Wanna Forget You

Girrrrrrrrrrl, IYKYK Lauren Conrad dropped an ICONIC line in The Hills when she told Heidi, "I wanna forgive you... and I wanna forget you." Who in your life has dome damage beyond repair to the point where you can't forgive and make up and quite literally want to forget them? Sis, today we're talking about how a situation can continue to affect your life until you make the decision to forgive the person. Of course, I had to spill a lil bit of my personal business, and we're journalling our thoughts and reflections, and as always, we're getting into an appropriate Lyric Dissection as we look at India Arie's Heart of the Matter.

  • Money Making March

Money, money, money, moneyyyy! Let's get into making money and most importantly having financial literacy and a healthy relationship with money. I've got you with your money affirmation for the week, and we're getting into Mary J Blige's Rent Money when we Dissect The Lyrics.

  • I'm Not Your Strong Black Woman

What's good girlies?! We're in our rebrand season and deciding that we're here for the soft life as of today. We're not going to show up as the 'strong black woman' the world has forced us to be. We're redefining strength and how we embrace it. Also, Jazmine Sullivan dropped Heaux Tales Mo' Tales The Deluxe and we're getting into the lyrics as we do. Class is in session!

  • Pushing P: What is my life's Purpose?

Hey family! Now you know everyone and their mama won't stop singing this Gunna song, so we flipped it and today we're pushing PURPOSE. We're tapping into how we best position ourselves to actualise our purpose and being on this earth and we're getting into pragmatic tools to help us on our journey and of course a weekly affirmation that we can speak over ourselves while we're at it.

  • New Year, Same Me with New Goals

    Hey family!

I might not always come when you call, but I'm right on time. Let me start by wishing you a Happy 2022, and we are getting straight to the business. It's not too late to start strategising and planning for this year, if you haven't yet done so. And if you have, let's become practical about how we won't fall off. We're talking about how we are positioning ourselves to have the best year yet & the only way to to do is by being intentional and setting short term vs long term goals. This year we vow to take care of our physical, mental and spiritual health. We vow to level up and take our careers and education to the next level. We also vow to live a balanced life and take the time we need and desire to rest, ensure we are happy and do the things that we enjoy. Here's to another year of glowing up, sis! 🥂

  • Best Shape Of My Life

First of all, if you didn't watch Will Smith's 6 part documentary series on Youtube what are you doing?! We're talking about getting into the best shape of our lives, and we're not just talking physically but mentally and emotionally too. Then, of course I had to shout out Summer Walker who through her transparency on Still Over It is giving a voice to women's healing journeys. What we thought was going to be a sad girls winter turned out to be an empowered girls winter. Lastly, we had to get into Beyonce on Be Alive as we dissected the lyrics.

  • Give Yourself A Lil Grace

Hey family! This week we're going easy on us. We're extending the same grace we always let others have and catching a break from the pressure that we put on yourself. It's okay to take a minute to rest and breathe-- that also qualifies as loving ourselves. You guys voted, so I must adhere and give you the story time about the time I cried over a man with nothing but a birth certificate (IYKYK don't miss out on our IG conversations!). And finally, we're back with another lyric dissection and you know we had to get into Adele's new song "Easy on Me" as it tied so perfectly with today's theme.

  • World Mental Health Day: We're Checking In

Hey family! Happy Wednesday AKA our favourite day of the week. We're checking in today, and prioritising our mental health. I'm dropping some ways in which you can activate positive mental health & wellbeing in your day to day life. We're giving a glow up shoutout to Naomi Osaka this week, for standing up for herself and putting her mental health first, and giving us permission to do so too in this hustle culture we live in. During Let's Talk, we're discussing how to balance your relationship and your friendship... how do you show up for your partner and you're bestie without causing any animosity?

  • Lemme Upgrade Ya

I'm not always there when you call, but I'm always on timeeee! This week we're a lil late but I had to stop through and give you what you need for your upgrade. We're adopting a growth mindset and going against our limiting beliefs as we step outside of what we know. When we're talking about a growth mindset, I had to shout out Chloe and Halle Bailey who are doing the damn thing by stepping out as individuals and pushing themselves past their comfort zone. That's an upgrade. We're here for sisterhood, and we're here to clap for our girls when they're shining. Then, we're tackling the difficult question of a healthy work/life balance. How do you handle it when there's not enough hours in a day??

  • Welcome To Your Graduation

It's season 2 and we're applying pressure in our personal development, growth and glow up, baby.  I'M SO EXCITED to be back with my glow up family. And our first task of order is to congratulate YOU, as a part of the glow up fam on our graduation as we elevate into season 2. We're not new to this... we don't have room for baby glow ups around here anymore. We're going up.  We're starting off with a lil girl chat and talking about how Cynthia Bailey recently graduated too, as she leaves the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Then, I'm hearing from y'all as we talk about some of your dilemma's that you've sent in. And finally, we dissect one of my all time favourite Kehlani songs.
