An supportive environment ✅
But then all of the sudden just like that, your last game ever came along at the snap of a finger
It just went by so fast and I get it on a deep level
And you life had these unexpected changes
Now you have to force yourself to go to the gym and you’ll try
But your not NEARLY as committed compared to when you were an athlete
Now you’ll go some weeks, then fall off because of “work”, or “life gets in the way”
And fitness constantly now takes the back burner
You keep having these cycles of motivation and your not SURE why you can’t stay consistent now as opposed to be before
So here’s 5 TIPS to eliminate these cycles of motivation
THE TRUTH IS…your not always going to be motivated. You weren’t always motivated to go to practice but you DID it because there we consequences of missing practice. Motivation is a feeling, but it’s IMPOSSIBLE to always be motivated. It’s no longer “mandatory” , so now your associating “freedom” with skipping workouts.
Discipline is the answer. On the days where motivation is dry. Discipline should take over , and KEEP you going. NO MATTER HOW YOU FEEL. Tired ? —> Go, Hungover ?—> Go, Work took over —> Go.
GET CLEAR on your next goal and set a deadline. The reason your not prioritizing it, is because the next target isn’t CLEAR. Ex. Lose 20lbs in 90 days. ADD URGENCY, put some fucking pressure on yourself.
Time prioritizing. Your putting your time into things that are getting you further from your goals. Set specific time frames in your week to be AT the gym. Be realistic with how many days a week you can go.
Letting set backs control you. Set backs are gonna happen guys. It’s part of the journey, whether you like it or not. Don’t let them throw you off your path. STAY FOCUSED ON THE GOAL AND THE VISION.Once you start implementing these tips
