Trump promised to “re-privatize” the economy so that it reflects small businesses and the forgotten man. Instead, he is steering the economy to a handful of Big Tech companies more than his predecessor. Today, I show in vivid detail how Big Tech is getting special favors, including exceptions from tariffs, regulatory relief, federal land offers, federal tax credits, re-zoning favors, and state and local tax exemptions to promote the data center digital colonization of America that a free and fair market could never sustain. The government is digging us so deep into the pockets of these companies that once the data center bubble pops, it will be too big to fail and we will be stuck holding the bag. I contrast this model to the state of the economy for most Americans and small businesses, and the contrast could not be greater.
