What does not expect the unexpected mean?

It's supposed to remind us that life is full of surprises, and nothing is guaranteed, predictable or absolute, accept the fact that there will be surprises along the way and/or things that cannot be controlled. The phrase and the meaning behind it is supposed to be a tool to help us feel better planning for life with its endless eventualities. Essentially, don't be surprised by random and/or unusual events that may occur.

How to create a good habit. The 1st law (Cue): Make it obvious. The 2nd law (Craving): Make it attractive. The 3rd law (Response): Make it easy. Your life can be made easy if you focus on your small easy tasks first and then add others into your routine. Life can get hectic and we all try to reduce our stress and depression so we have a couple of principles that can help you get out of your head.

We live in a world now where we don't show any kind of love nor compassion to the people we are around all the time and it sucks honestly, I feel we need to tell people what we think about them whether it be good or bad it needs to be honest. Communication is key for every large team down to one on one relationships. Anytime we speak to someone we have to remember we are all human with similar struggles and situations, and the way we talk has to be genuine it can't be all business. This is all food for thought this week here at TGSP.

The Carolina Reaper is a cultivar of the Capsicum chinense plant. Developed by American breeder Ed Currie, the pepper is red and gnarled, with a bumpy texture and small pointed tail. In 2013, Guinness World Records declared it the hottest chili pepper in the world. It was bred in South Carolina and tested at over 2.2 Million Scoville Heat Units by Winthrop University.

A fully constructive decision theory should show us how to make the probability and value judgments on which a given decision can be based. It should not rule out the possibility that some of these judgments have already been made. So we have already formulated some relevant beliefs and preferences.

This Episodes go over all of Jeremy's Psychiatric trips, his treatment, and others he encountered. This Episode also includes my questions about his time in along with other stories and experiences. 

In the United States efforts to reduce hospital stays and save money have led to overcrowded emergency rooms and people with serious psychological distress not receiving the treatment they need. Experts define serious psychological distress (SPD) as feelings of sadness, worthlessness, and restlessness that are hazardous enough to impair physical well-being.

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, more than 20% of American adults experienced mental illness in 2019. That's one in five adults. Inpatient, 24-hour care comes in a variety of forms. It can exist in a dedicated wing of a hospital, a private hospital, or a public/state hospital. Care is usually provided by psychiatrists, nurses, and therapists.

Mental hospitals can be an effective way to receive treatment but some evidence suggests that intensive outpatient programs (IPOs) can also be helpful.

What's most important is to reach out for help and support if you are struggling because treatment works. I'm living proof! You can get better and you will.

You know the feeling when you walk through a doorway and you’ve forgotten why you’re there? That’s how it is to walk through the hospital door and enter the psychiatric ward for the first time. A little bit surreal.
