Do you know someone with a mental disease? Have you ever felt like someone needs help but don't know how to give it to them? Have you ever felt you might be depressed or suffering from anxiety? Do you find it hard to talk about such topics among family and friends?
In this episode, Charchil talks to Sagar about his book, "Don't Call Her Crazy" - a short memoir of Sagar's grandma's struggles with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Sagar shares how a mental disease affects a patient, as well as everyone around them, why it is hard to talk about it, and the one "medicine" that always works.
Charchil and Sagar discuss how we can start talking more about mental health, make them less taboo with time, and why this is the only way to help people who suffer every day.
Finally, they share simple ways to help someone you love by simply listening, creating a safe environment, and making sure you are not simply criticizing.
