The Good Vanilla

This week we are sitting at the dock of a bay with Ina and the delicious T.R.! T.R. tests out his dock fishing skills while Ina prepares the food for a dock side evening of white wine and fabulous company. On the menu is deep fried battered fish, chips, homemade tartar sauce, and some "hot rodded" pickles. For dessert its a fabulous Summer fruit crostata, good conversation, and a sunset on the doc of T.R.'s new fishing shack.

This week we are off to Napa Valley with Ina and Jeffrey! (They rented a HOUSE!) On the menu is roasted asparagus and prosciutto with easy Hollandaise sauce, porterhouse steaks with the dashing Tyler Florence, and a fabulous no cook picnic with treats from the Ferry Building in San Francisco. Ina spends the day shopping, Jeffrey spends the day "writing his book" and perfecting the perfect blend for Ina. Everybody wins!

Guess who's coming to dinner? This week Ina is hosting the legendary Broadway Director/Choreographer Susan Stroman, and she is bringing a mystery guest! Ina isn't sweating at all because she has whipped up something for everyone. On the menu are Blinis with smoked salmon, Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup, and Ina's FAVORITE Parmesan Chicken. For dessert its pears, a huge block of Stilton, and a glass of port. Now who could the mystery guest be? Hmm....

This week Ina and Jeffrey are off to Montauk to look at the boats, drink some white wine, revisit their lives, and eat some delicious food! Ina prepares Californian BLT's, fresh local scallops served provencal style with herb basmati rice, and a show-stopping panna cotta served with strawberries and balsamic vinaigrette. Its anchors away as Jeffrey stops at nothing to convince Ina that they need a boat.

Rise and shine because this week we are making breakfast ahead! Ina serves up a baked French toast with raspberries, blueberry bran muffins, mini Italian frittatas, homemade orange marmalade butter, a smoked salmon platter, a fruit salad with honey vanilla yogurt, and a pitcher of Virgin Mary's to wash it all down!

Today we are giving "thanks" as we journey through another fabulous French feast in honor of the employees of an East Hampton boutique, Calypso. On the menu is Provençal vegetable soup, a picture perfect seafood platter, and homemade madeleines(mandolins)for dessert. This episode is nothing sort of "superbe!"

On this week's episode, we have Trent Pheifer, the creator of Instagram's @Storeboughtisfine on the pod! We chat about our mutual love of Ina, floor food photography, and the rule of trying everything at least three times. Then it's off to Paris as we follow Ina and Jeffrey on a Parisian adventure that is also given the East Hampton treatment. Picture perfect Tartines, fool proof profiteroles, or even a wine and cheese picnic with Jeffrey at the Seine, this episode has it all!

On this weeks episode its all about Ina's beautiful garden! Joe Tiry is working diligently outside to make Ina's Garden look spectacular while Ina is busy cooking up some delicious herb-based delights! First up its Green Pea soup featuring mint from the garden with a dollop of crème fraîche and a sprinkling of chives. For the main course it's a roasted red pepper sandwich with basil on a crusty ciabatta. Then its dessert time with a show stopping carrot and pineapple cake in the garden with coffee. Who wouldn't want THAT?

This week Ina is celebrating Summer with some easy dishes! First up, its Shrimp and Feta for lunch with Rori Travato, owner of Rori's Artisanal Creamery. For dessert, Rori and Ina whip up a batch of Salted Caramel ice cream together (with Tahitian vanilla!) For the finale, Ina cooks Jeffrey a summer garden pasta bursting with sunshine flavor followed by another round of Ask Ina!

This week Jeffrey is home alone! But don't fret, Ina is stocking the fridge full of delicious things for him while he is away. She mades a hearty and delicious beef stew along with homemade espresso ice cream. For coffee the next morning, Ina whips up a batch of orange scones. Will Jeffrey save some ice cream for Ina?
