  • #93 ...Do Women Really Support Women?

    We've all met her.

The woman who says, "I love that for you!" but never actually supports you. The spouse who wears her husband's rank like she earned it. The self-proclaimed deployment expert who's never lived through one. The woman who talks a great game about empowering other women—until it's someone else's turn to shine.

In this candid solo episode, Surinder tackles the uncomfortable truths about female friendships, jealousy, competition, military spouse culture, and what genuine support really looks like.

With humor, honesty, and a few stories that may hit close to home, this episode explores why some women build each other up while others seem determined to tear each other down.

This isn't about attacking women—it's about having the conversation many of us have behind closed doors and asking ourselves how we can do better.

If you've ever felt overlooked, underestimated, used, or simply wished women would be more honest with each other, this episode is for you.

Share this episode with the women in your circle who value authenticity, accountability, and real support over empty words. 🎙️💥

  • #89...Work Life Balance?

Work-life balance—everyone talks about it, but for military moms building a business, it can feel almost impossible to define… let alone achieve.

In this episode, we’re getting real about what it actually looks like behind the scenes. The blurred lines between work and home. The constant pull between being present for your family and showing up for your business. And yes—the everyday distractions that come with working from home… laundry, dishes, and all.

How do you manage your time when everything feels like a priority?
Do you create structure, or just roll with the chaos?
And is balance even the goal—or is it something else entirely?

This is an honest, relatable conversation about the challenges, the guilt, the small wins, and the reality of trying to “do it all” in military life.

If you’re a military spouse, entrepreneur, or just someone trying to find your rhythm—you’re not alone.

  • #87 Military Spouse Starts Sourdough Business with Veteran SEAL Husband

There’s something pretty special about a business that starts not with a grand plan… but with a gut feeling—literally.

In this episode, I sit down with military spouse Krista and her husband Kevin, a Veteran SEAL, who turned a personal health challenge into a thriving home-based sourdough business. What began as Krista simply not feeling her best—especially after eating store-bought bread—quickly became a deep dive into nutrition, ingredients, and the art of baking bread the right way.

Armed with her nutritional background and a whole lot of curiosity, Kristen decided to take matters into her own hands (and kitchen). Enter Kevin—lovingly dubbed the “indentured servant to a sourdough baker”—who jumped in to support the mission, proving once again that behind every great military spouse venture… there’s a team effort.

They started small—baking fresh loaves and placing them outside their home with a simple sign, running on an honor system. No storefront. No big marketing push. Just trust, community, and really good bread. And it didn’t take long for neighbors and the local community to show up in full support.

This is a story about resilience, resourcefulness, and what can happen when you lean into a problem and turn it into purpose. It’s also a reminder that sometimes the simplest ideas—done with heart—can rise into something pretty incredible.
