As children, many of us have imaginary friends. Friends that we can't see, but we pretend to be there. What happens when a child is, in fact seeing these "friends," learning their names, likes, interests, and history – only for these facts to match up with a real-life child who passed on many years before. James Koppert is a man who had very "real" imaginary friends. This would lead to an upbringing where he would meet other spirits who would be anything but "friends." Leading others to believe his family was cursed and heartbreak beyond belief.

I’ve talks to countless individuals, families, and investigators about their haunting encounters and quite honestly, the story of The Bothell Hell House is one of the most terrifying I’ve ever heard.  Originally constructed in 1774, Tuckahoe was constructed as a single-room building. Over the next century, it would soon grow into one of the largest plantations in Virginia. It would see several owners in its continuing lifetime, and hundreds of enslaved souls come and go from its property lines before it would eventually discontinue its activity as a working plantation. Into the 1900’s Tuckahoe would eventually fall into disrepair, and then revived as not only a historical property, but continues to be a family home. A home inhabited by not only the living but the dead as well. Today we learn its history with Holt Saulsgiver.

 It started like any other day for Ellen MacNeil. Just another day of high school in the late 1970s, until something brought on a feeling of dread and unexplained sadness. She didn’t quite know what to make of it, but soon more signs would follow that something was wrong. Very wrong. Pictures moving, watches breaking, and so much more. What or who was causing these events? As it turns out, it was her brother. Tragically though, her brother had been killed in Vietnam that very same day. He was back and planned on staying around to help her navigate life from the other side. This was the start of such countless paranormal experiences for Ellen. The Crescent hotel was built in 1886 as a resort for the wealthy and notable, however quickly became unmanageable and fell into disrepair. In 1908, it had been reopened as the Crescent college and Conservatory for Young girls. This establishment closed down in 1924, then opened once more in 1930 as a college.

In 1937, it got a brand new owner, Norman G. Baker, who turned the place into a hospital and health resort. Baker, a rich person inventor and radio personality, titled himself as a doctor, despite having had no medical coaching. He claimed to own discovered variety of "cures" for numerous ailments, as well as cancer, and launched frequent attacks on organized medicine, which he accused of being corrupt and profit-driven.

Having been run out of Iowa for practicing medicine without a license, Baker moved his cancer patients to Arkansas and publicized his new health resort at the Crescent. His "cure" consisted primarily of drinking the area's spring water.[clarification needed] In 1940, federal charges were filed against Baker for fraud and he spent four years in jail. On March fifteen, 1967, the hotel was nearly burned to the ground.

In 1997, the Crescent hotel was purchased by Marty and Elise Roenigk, who oversaw a six-year restoration and renovation of the hotel rooms. Today we hear the ghost stories of what is known as on the most haunted hotels in the United States.
