Anna, the 84 year old prophetess, devoted her life to prayer, worship and fasting. We are given no pictures in the Bible of spiritual retirement; the parable of the rich man in Luke 16 who planned to  spend his golden years “relaxing, eating, and drinking” and had God end his life is a warning for us to make our lives count for eternity into our final years.
