St. Hildegard von Bingen is one of the most beloved and interesting saints, mystics and doctors of the church.

One of her most well known concepts, and to me, one of the most mystical, is her concept of viriditas or “greening”. Here she describes a life force present in us that connects us all, that comes straight from God.
