Robert Sylvester Alston is an American serial killer who was convicted of raping and murdering at least four women in Greensboro, North Carolina between 1991 and 1993. He was known to dismember his victims' bodies and scatter the remains in various locations. Alston initially made anonymous phone calls to investigators, attempting to mislead them and gain media attention. He pleaded guilty to all charges in 1998 and is currently serving multiple life sentences at the Columbus Correctional Institution. Although investigators believe they have identified all of his victims, they are not willing to close the case due to unanswered questions.
