The Deal Was Bad. The Signs Were Worse.

    There were signs.

    There were omens.

There were moments that made your stomach turn for reasons you couldn’t name.

    You named them “opportunity.”

    You called them “urgency.”

You labeled the chaos as “momentum.”

But deep down, something told you otherwise.

In Chapter Nine of Undressed, Greg Vetter unpacks the turning point he never saw coming—until it had already passed. A moment when speed became a weapon, and ambition became a trap.

What he thought was the grind,

was actually the beginning of the fall.

    This episode isn’t about failure.

    It’s about foresight.

And the cost of ignoring your gut when it whispers: Not this. Not now.

    Listen now.

  • How to Keep Your Brand Moving Forward

    Send us Fan Mail

    The Art of Momentum.

In this week’s episode of The Undressed Podcast, we dive into Chapter 7—the pivotal moment when our little brand transitioned into the mainstream. Dreams were coming true, but the challenge was maintaining momentum and proving to the world that our success wasn’t just luck—it was real.

    Key Lessons from Chapter 7:

🔹 Listen to Your Customers—Before It’s Too Late

Steve Jobs once said, People don’t know what they want until you show it to them. While innovation is essential, so is listening. When multiple customers told us our salad dressing was solidifying in the fridge, we brushed it off—until a major buyer warned us that we’d be out if we didn’t fix it. Some feedback is worth acting on before it’s too late.

    🔹 Believe in the Impossible

Who would have thought salad dressing could become a lifestyle brand? Without manufacturing experience, money, or resources, belief was all we had. But when belief is contagious, miracles happen.

🔹 Put Your Blinders On and Focus

Distractions are everywhere. You’ll look for shortcuts, silver bullets, and inspiration from others’ journeys. But true success comes from unwavering focus. When we stopped chasing an ‘Air Jordan moment’ and zeroed in on our strengths, we found our path.

    🔹 Have a Filter for Decision-Making

Every opportunity looks good at first glance. But is it aligned with your mission? Does it bring you joy? Will it truly grow your business? Learning to ask the right questions before jumping into the next big thing saved us from major missteps.

🔹 Packaging Matters More Than You Think

After years of hand-waxing bottles, we learned (the hard way) that our customers wanted something different. A complete redesign, informed by real consumer insights, led to a 300% increase in shelf sales. The right packaging can be a game-changer.

🔹 Trust the Journey—Let Go of the White-Knuckle Grip

The hardest lesson of all: when you try to control everything, you risk crushing it. Learning to trust the process, lean into faith, and let go has made all the difference. If you hold on too tight, you’ll strangle your own success.

As we continue navigating the business world, these lessons remain at the core of our journey. What resonated with you the most from this episode? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Until next time, keep believing, keep listening, and keep going.

Building something of substance is like playing a video game—every level introduces bigger, faster, and more relentless challenges. But the truth is, those obstacles aren’t there to stop you. They’re there to prove you’re ready.

Chapter 5 of Undressed is all about scaling—facing new challenges, leading when you feel lost, and making decisions that will define your future.

Here’s what you need to know:

🔹 There’s no such thing as a trivial comment when you’re a leader. Every word you say reinforces (or weakens) the belief in your vision.

🔹 Kindness is a power move. You’ll need people to take a chance on you. Make it easier for them to say yes.

🔹 Action creates more action. You don’t need a perfect plan—you just need to move. Momentum will follow.

🔹 Breakthroughs come after relentless effort. The rock doesn’t crack on the first hit. Or the hundredth. But if you keep going, it will.

The path forward isn’t easy, but it’s simple: Take the first step. And then the next. And when you feel like quitting? Just one more. Always, one more.

Listen to Chapter 5 of Undressed and learn how to push through.

And if you’re serious about building something that lasts, Greg’s book is your next move.

You're falling behind. It only changes when...

Most people think success comes from one big break.

    One lucky moment.

    One perfect opportunity.

But that’s not how it works.

Success is built inch by inch.

On the days you feel like nothing is working.

On the mornings when you don’t want to get up.

On the nights when you’re exhausted but you push forward anyway.

If you can move forward—even just an inch—every single day, you’ll get further than everyone waiting for the perfect moment.

📖 In this episode of Undressed: The Limited Series Podcast, Greg Vetter breaks down:

🔥 The only thing that separates those who make it from those who don’t.

🔥 Why forward motion is the most important metric in your life.

🔥 The morning routine that gives you a head start before the world wakes up.

🔥 Why urgency separates the great from the average—and how to train your team to keep up.

And if you’re serious about building something that lasts, Greg’s book is your next move.

  • WHAT IF QUITTING IS THE ONLY WAY TO FAIL?

    Send us Fan Mail

Everyone wants to build something great. Everyone loves the idea of success.

But when the real work starts? When the firehose is blasting at full force?

When the growth feels like getting drop-kicked every single day?

That’s when most people tap out.

    📖 In Episode 3 we’re breaking down:

🔥 Why not everyone is built for rapid growth (and how to know if you are).

🔥 The real reason people quit—hint: it’s not because it’s hard.

🔥 The art of tying a knot and hanging on when everything is on fire.

🔥 How to scale without making it way harder than it needs to be.

The difference between those who make

    it and those who don’t?

One of them just holds on longer.

  • Your Brain Will Always Lie To Your Gut

    Send us Fan Mail

What if your gut is right, and your brain is lying to you?

Most people will tell you to think things through.

    To be careful.

To analyze every possible outcome before making a move.

    Greg Vetter did the opposite.

He pitched an idea he wasn’t even sure would work.

Cold-called grocery stores like he had nothing to lose.

Told buyers he was a world-famous food manufacturer before he even knew how to make the damn product at scale.

    And somehow… it worked.

📖 In Episode 2 of Undressed: The Limited Series Podcast, we’re breaking down:

🔥 Why fear paralyzes most people into never chasing their dreams.

🔥 The gut vs. the brain: which one is actually looking out for you?

🔥 The counterintuitive secret to proving your idea right (by first trying to prove it wrong).

🔥 Why being a story people want to tell is the only marketing strategy that really matters.

If you’re waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect plan, the perfect opportunity—you’ll be waiting forever.

🔥 How a Stolen Bottle of Salad Dressing Changed My Life 🔥

Ever had an idea so ridiculous, so stupid, that it might actually work? Yeah… me too.

Welcome to Undressed: The Limited Series Podcast, where I break down my book Undressed: The Unfiltered Story of My Failed American Dream—chapter by chapter, story by story, existential crisis by existential crisis.

In this first episode, we’re talking about:

🥗 The absurd chain of events that turned a missing bottle of salad dressing into a multimillion-dollar business.

💡 Why your breakthrough idea probably doesn’t look the way you expect it to.

🔥 The one brutal truth about chasing success that no one likes to admit.

😵‍💫 How to handle people who think your dream is completely ridiculous (hint: they’re probably not wrong).

I went from selling insurance and playing pro lacrosse to betting everything—401k, credit cards, my dad’s house—on a salad dressing company. Smart? Debatable. Entertaining? Absolutely.
