In this special episode, The Heavy Metal Strength Coach & Shrubs666 talks with the lead singer and bassist of DEADWOOD LAKE, Bruce Powell. 

We spend the first half we chat about Deadwood Lake and how the formation of the band centered around remembering Bruce's brother, Gary Powell, who was tragically killed in a traffic accident a few years ago.

We discuss using grief to create something uplifting, powerful, and therapeutic.

We discuss being more creative around difficult times.

We discuss what the future has in store for Deadwood Lake.

In part 2 we discuss Bruce's extreme weight loss of more than 120lbs (around 54kg) through the keto diet, coping strategies and the tipping point that made this weight loss attempt different. 

I loved this episode. I can't wait for the next Deadwood Lake album.
