Guy talks proudly about Indiana and it's pro 2A laws. Indiana is near the top of pro 2A states. A lot of people talk about how they want to live in a "pro gun" state like Texas. "Texas has a lot of laws that we don't have and that I don't want... I want to live in a state that treats the second amendment on par with every other constitutional right." There's no other constitutional right that is infringed upon in this country like the 2nd Amendment.

Gun Relford returns to the 93.1 WIBC studios for another edition of the Gun Guy Show. In the first hour, Indiana Rep Jim Lucas calls in to discuss his bill HB 1177, which would create specialized firearms safety, education, and training curriculum for teachers, school staff, and school employees. Lucas dispels some of the disinformation out there regarding his bill. Critics of such bills often make the argument that such bills would turn our schools into the Wild West. But Lucas disagrees and says it does quite the opposite. For about the same price of resource officer, 40 staff members could be properly trained with a firearm. Armed teachers and staff make a potential shooter less likely to act, since he won't know who is armed. Lucas adds that it's just misguided to rely on the police to protect our children. In fact, courts have ruled that they are not obligated to.
"Our highest courts of the land have ruled that we are on our own" says Lucas.
In the second hour, Guy talks about the case of 23-year-old Walter Oliver who was arrested inside Castleton Square Mall on an allegation he had a handgun with Glock switch inside. Carrying a firearm inside a mall is not against the law, as evidenced in the Greenwood Mall shooting. So, was the arrest of Oliver on the suspicion he was packing against the law? Guy addresses that question.

Guy Relford returns for another episode of the "Gun Guy Show" on 93.1 WIBC. Guy interviews Larry Correia on today's edition of "The Gun Guy Show." Larry's new book "In Defense of the 2nd Amendment" is a direct rebuttal to gun control advocates, each footnoted with facts. Larry Correia is the creator of the Wall Street Journal and New York Times best-selling Monster Hunter International series, with first entry Monster Hunter International; as well as urban fantasy hardboiled adventure saga The Grimnoir Chronicles, with first entry Hard Magic; and epic fantasy series The Saga of the Forgotten Warrior, with first entry Son of the Black Sword. He is an avid gun user and advocate who shot on a competitive level for many years. Before becoming a full-time writer, he was a military contract accountant, and a small business accountant and manager. In the second hour Chris Lee from NSSF National Shooting Sports Foundation calls in to talk about some of the legislation that he and the NSSF are supporting across the nation. The NSSF leads the way in advocating for the industry and its business and jobs, keeping guns out of the wrong hands, encouraging enjoyment of recreational shooting and hunting and helping people better understand the industry’s lawful products. Guy joked that when gun control advocates say that the NRA are just shills for the gun industry, "No, that's not true, the NSSF is". And to wrap up the show Indiana State Representative Craig Haggard calls in. Craig talks about a bill he's co-sponsoring that would protect law-abiding Hoosiers from having their information shared with the federal government if they are not implicated in an active crime investigation.
