We are only four Sundays away from Christmas which means we are at the beginning of advent. Over the next couple of Sundays leading up to Christmas, we are going to be discussing different people from the bible surrounding Jesus’s birth. To start it all off Daniel taught on the iconic wise men.

Today is the Sunday before Thanksgiving, a holiday that reminds us to stop and be thankful for all we have. Unfortunately, we are typically not as thankful throughout the rest of the year as we are on Thanksgiving, but as believers, we are called by God to be people of thanksgiving all the time. Listen in to find out HOW we are able to be thankful all year round.

It was a very special Sunday this week because we were blessed to be able to hear from Emily Sengel about the work God is doing in a small area near the border in Mexico. She has been a working in a part of Mexico that has legal prostitution which means that drugs and violence are often occurrences as well. She shared with us the encouraging work the Lord has been doing transforming the lives of different people.

This week Pastor Luke took a turn at teaching to share with us the freedom we experience in Christ. A lot of times in life we let our sin, worries, and fears weigh us down, when we should really be living with the joy and confidence that is given to us because of our freedom in Christ.

Today is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. We decided as a church to honor our brothers and sisters who are suffering because of their faith in Christ by encouraging the congregation to be mindful to prayer for them throughout the week.

The last one another for this sermon series is probably one of the hardest to understand and even hard to act out. That is the command to LOVE one another. Daniel helps us understand how we are to love one another.

This week's one another is "Confront One Another." This is a difficult action for believers and people in general that is usually avoided or done incorrectly because of impure motivations. Despite how uncomfortable it is, we are called to confront one another as believers in the hopes of benefiting the body of Christ. Daniel teaches us in what situations we should be confrontational and how we should confront our brothers and sisters.

This week was the exciting continuation of our sermon series on the "one anothers." Daniel spoke about the importance of praying for one another. Not just why we should pray, but what we should be focusing on when we do pray for each other.

We are back on track with the "One Another" sermon series, and to get us started this week Daniel taught on Forgiving One Another. This is a common topic in the church, but always one that we need to be reminded and encouraged to practice and practice well. There is always more we can learn on the subject.

We took a quick break from the sermon series to discuss a topic that was weighing heavily upon pastor Daniel's heart. The Saturday before had special significance in Daniel's life, inspiring him to share with us how we should be mindful to thank God always. No matter the circumstance.
