This weeks one another in our series is "encourage one another". Daniel taught us the importance of encouraging one another, but more importantly,what it means to really encourage each other. Its goes far beyond simply saying nice or kind words to each other.

We recently finished our series on being a disciple of Christ and the relationship we should have with Him. Since being a disciple is the focus of our church this year, we are growing our understanding by starting a new series focusing on how we should interact with the world and other disciples.

Before getting started with another series, Daniel was lead to share with us a topic that is a good basic reminder to begin with before diving into a new subject. He shared with us the importance of staying connected to the vine that is Jesus. Through our connection to the vine, we become transformed living lives that preach the gospel and bear the fruit of Christ.

This Sunday was a celebration of God's faithfulness to the church. We celebrated the 6th anniversary of the church and the 4th anniversary of the church on the westside. In order to celebrate, Daniel interviewed a few people in the church who have been a part of the beginning, and a few who have been a big part of the church on the westside.

We just finished the sermon series on the Apostles' Creed last week, so Pastor Luke filled in for Daniel this week - sharing with us a subject God has placed on his heart. Luke taught about fear, something that everyone deals with on an almost daily basis. He shared with us what fear is, what it does, and how we can resist and fight back against fear.

It seems like this has been a never-ending sermon series but alas, it has finally come to its conclusion. The end of summer and the beginning of the school year has caused us to end this series a bit more abruptly than originally planned. Daniel wrapped it all up by teaching on, "the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the dead, and the life everlasting," and how they all tie in together.

It has been awhile since our last sermon on the Apostles' Creed, but we are faithful to finish what we have started. This week Daniel taught us about the holy catholic church. He helps us understand what this means in the creed and how it applies to us despite our non-Catholic church.

The Emmaus mission team gave their report today about how they saw and experienced God at work. It was an exciting service to hear how God was growing and maturing the youth of the church despite difficult circumstances.

Daniel and Luke were both gone this week, so Elliott filled in. He shares with us that there is much to be learned today from the story Jacob, which happened over 4,000 years ago.

Daniel was gone this week so Pastor Luke filled in to continue the series. This was the beginning of the 3rd section of the Apostles' Creed that explains what has been made new by the death, resurrection, and acension of Jesus Christ.
