Welcome to The Hashimoto’s Connection. In today’s episode, I have a special guest, Wendy McGee. Wendy is a friend of mine and was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s approx. 7 months prior to our interview. She has an interesting story and brings insight to what someone newly diagnosed may be going through as well as some great tips to share on how to get help. Join me as we connect with Wendy’s Hashimoto’s journey today.
If you’d like to reach Wendy directly you can email her through her website www.providencemusicstudio.com
To recap today’s 3 action steps:
First, how you can help yourself with this episode: Get help from a medical professional that understands how to treat Hashimoto’s, if your current doctor is unsure, ask for a referral to someone who can help.
Second, how you can help others: Communicate with your family and friends. Let them know what’s going on with your health and teach them how they can be a part of the solution. Don’t expect them to automatically know.
Last, dig deeper: Check out the book Wendy found helpful by Pharmacist Dr. Izabella Wentz: Hashimoto's Thyroiditis: Lifestyle Interventions for Finding and Treating the Root Cause
