The Hawkeye Huddle

Scot Bush joins Brett with David on vacation and the two breakdown a busy week in Hawkeye sports. (Note, a mention of Phil Parker as a Broyles Award Nominee may be confused with him not making the final 15 as a Semi-finalist which was announced on Tuesday.)

Ah yes. It's November in Iowa City and another Top 10 team has come to Kinnick to lose their dreams of a National Championship.

A tough week in men's sports has the huddle in argument mode but Creighton saves the day with a song? Yes, its worth the listen.

It is a "big game" week... again and the boys try to find the positive possibilities that Iowa might pull an upset in Madison. Plus Hawkeye hoops starts for real!

A nice shutout victory over Northwestern is a fun subject as well as the upcoming basketball and wrestling seasons.

An underwhelming win vs Purdue has fans concerned as does some surprising hoops recruiting. The boys try to make some sense of it all as the Hawkeyes head to Northwestern this weekend.

The guys encourage Iowans fans to chill when it comes to being hard on the Iowa Football team. They talk expectations, program identity, and player development along with some basketball recruiting and a set up for the Purdue game.

The boys attempt to make some sense of the offensive offense at Michigan and explain how a turnaround isn't too far-fetched.

The non conference schedule is in the books and the Hawkeyes are 4-0...a harbinger of good seasons under Kirk. But a trip to the Big House to face Michigan is next. Football and Basketball talk on this week's huddle.

A bye week leaves less to talk about in terms of what is happening on the field and more to talk about off the field. The treatment of the Iowa Band at Iowa State and the lack of ownership of the problem by ISU leads off discussion that eventually gets around to previewing Iowa and MTSU.
