It's Day 1 of our 25 Days of Chill Skills to help cope with the holidays!
Today's coping/chill skill is Deep Breathing! There are sooo many deep breathing exercises, but I'll be going over just a few of my favorites for you: Square Breathing, Roller Coaster Breathing, Infinity Breathing, and Rainbow Breathing!
You can find a ton more deep breathing exercises on the internet/YouTube! These are just a few!
*Trigger warning!*
Talking all things eating disorders in this podcast episode.
I'm talking mostly about anorexia and bulimia. Eating disorders are VERY serious and can be fatal. It is so important to seek help when suffering from an eating disorder. Therapy and medications can help. Sometimes hospitalizations and inpatient facilities are necessary. Remember you are more than what the scale says... it is not a measure of your worth!!!! Life is too short... eat the cake!
Here are just a few of the MANY resources to help those who are struggling with eating disorders:
To learn more about eating disorders: National Institute of Mental Health (who also helped remind me of some of the other eating disorders as well.)

On this first official episode of The Headcase Diaries, I'm talking all about anxiety! I share my own experience with anxiety as well as what has most helped me in my daily battle with anxiety. Hopefully hearing my experience and what I have found most helpful will be of use to you! Or at least provide some amusement. I touch on taking medication to ease my anxiety, but I know medication is not for everyone! However, on the flip side, some people need it their whole life or at least for a period of time in their life like I did! There is no shame in taking medication to help ease the burden of our mental health struggles and we need to really work on normalizing that as a society. Anywho, I hope you enjoy this episode of The Headcase Diaries!
