Madeleine Luise Arena is an eating-disorder survivor and recovering perfectionist turned yoga teacher. She believes in the power of cultivating balance and contentment through the practices of yoga.  

Born and raised in Germany in a Canadian household she took the leap 7 years ago and moved across the world to Canada where she studied Interior Design but ultimately decided she will ditch all of her education and follow her dream of location independence and freedom.

On this path, she found the yoga practice, or perhaps the yoga practice found her. it was the first time in her life she felt she could move her body without focusing on calories or miles or pounds, but rather on her breath, her mind and how her body feels, learning to listen and honour, rather than punish and abuse.  

Her mission is with yoga is to begin cultivating a better relationship with ourselves, and the world around us. it’s about discovering who you are, and intentionally engaging in the world.  

it's about knowing and respecting yourself so that you can show up in your life in a way that reflects who you want to be and what is important to you.  it's about harnessing the tools of yoga to live a more balanced, joyful life.  

In this conversation, we talk about living with an eating disorder, feminism, quitting and rerouting your life, the transformation of yoga, her struggle with Alopecia areata and living a balanced life.

Nadja Mühlhauser is a Social Worker and worked in Counseling centres with women from domestic violence. She made it her mission to help other women and those in need. It's the most fulfilling thing she has ever done she said.

Nadja comes from a small town in Germany and had to leave everything behind to step into her true calling. Once she deepened her knowledge and started fighting for women, against Capitalism and Racism she had to choose to pack her things and move to a big city. She knew she couldn't stay and had a lot of backlash from her former surrounding-

Nowadays she lives in Cologne in a friendship circle that supports her believes and fights for feminism and against the system with her. And she loves every minute of it. We are having a deep discussion about feminism, domestic violence and cancel culture and what it means when your passion is stronger than everything else.

Kelly Blodgett is a money mindset coach for women who want to step out of their depth and develop financial security and  create wealth.

Her journey was long. She took out (a lot of) student loans to study abroad, cover tuition and help with other expenses. Even though she always had a job during school, she graduated with around $60,000 in student loan debt.

After college, she had worked odd jobs and continued to waitress to pay her student loans. She always complained that she had to pay $500 a month JUST for student loans, she remembers being horrified by that number but didn't think there was anything she could do about it.

After 13 years she had enough and decided to make a change. She created a plan to become debt-free that would fit her life and allowed her to still do the things she loved most. And in just 20 months, she was able to pay down $46,514.91 of debt.

Jana is a young woman from Wuppertal, Germany living her dream life in Canada. She moved there two years ago following her heart to be with her girlfriend. Since then she managed to make herself a comfortable life and name as a freelance videographer in Vancouver.

She graduated from SAE Institute Köln-digital film and animation and then deepened her studies as a media designer Picture and Sound at @PICKUP MEDIA KÖLN. After that she worked several years in the world of scripted reality TV, travelled Germany and after a road trip through Canada she started freelancing for the film industry.

Working as a woman in a male-dominated field is quite hard to do, but doing so as a female freelancer in a foreign country in the film industry is quite another challenge. 16+ h working days, lifting heavy equipment all day long is part of the joy. As well as having the ability to not let your male colleagues get to you and stand up for yourself when you are oftentimes alone and disadvantaged. Still, she loves working in film and loves the open-minded community especially when it comes to her sexual orientation, she never felt the need to hide.

Other than a lot of other stories she had an easy time being accepted by her family and friends after coming out to her loved ones. Especially the story with her mother is the sweetest thing you ever heard.  

Jana is an advocate for female empowerment in the film industry but never sugar coats that you need to have thick skin to make it.

In this interview we are talking about feminism and inequality in the film industry, what it means to follow your heart, stereotypes about lesbians and why you should never hide who you are to live a fulfilled life.

Mariella Hudson is an emerging writer and director from London, United Kingdom. Even though she didn’t grow up in an artistic surrounding she was drawn to art from little on. She was filming and creating short films from the age of 10 years on, writing poetry from 13 on and won her first competition writing a play with 16. In college, she started acting as well and loved the dynamic of theatre.

She went through some tough times in her life and it took her a long time to get out of them. And even though she comes off strong, deep inside she has a vulnerable and way to giving soul and I think so many women can identify with this. But she came back writing and directing and starting to understand that she needs to own being a boss and being a powerful woman. She has a very calm and strong energy and you will find yourself just listening to what she has to say once she starts talking.
