  • The Heavyist #283 Tony and Stefan from Crippling Alcoholism
Welcome Heavyists to another installment of the show - this week Sonny was joined by Tony Castrati and Stefan Iglesias from the Boston based Post Punk/Doom/Sludge/Rock/Dance (blimey it gets harder and harder to categorise this lot) legends Crippling Alcoholism ahead of the release of their new album Camgirl - released September 12th through Portrayal of Guilt Records
Sonny covered a LOT of topics with the lads - whose band is one of the most interesting and exciting artists out there at the moment. This is definitely not one to miss

  • The Heavyist #278 Mike Sugars from Psycho-Frame
We sat down with the one and only Mike Sugars of Psycho Frame 🔥💀 The deathcore darlings are about to unlash their their debut album SALVATION LAUGHS IN THE FACE OF A GRIEVING MOTHER. The album arrives July 25 via SharpTone Records.
What a lovely chat. We got into how the band formed, their love for throwback vibes, and why keeping it real and raw is what makes Psycho Frame hit different.Bold logos , dual vocals , and what it’s like putting together their crushing sound as a unit.
Mike gave us the lowdown on recording the new record, the brutal lyrical themes, and what’s coming next - big riffs, big tours, big plans 🩸
And yeah… we also chat about dog names 🐶 and why being part of this heavy-ass music scene rules 🤘

  • The Heavyist #276 Turnstile / Rivers of Nihil / Outergods / Bludgeoned By Deformity

It's a classic Heavyist blend of records on the show this week!

Turnstile release the follow-up to Glow On that's undoubtedly going to launch them into the stratosphere. Rivers of Nihil's new lineup follows up The Work with something very different. UK based Outergods are NOT to be slept on and Bludgeoned By Deformity release maybe the heaviest thing we have ever listened to!
