Welcome to the Heavyist - weekly worship at the altar of radness - this week we worship at the feet of the incredible masters of THALL Vildhjarta with their wonderful new record Där Skogen Sjunger Under Evighetens Granar.

We discuss the twists and turns, the elevation in grandeur and how this stacks up against their back catalogue and also against other bands from the members of Vildhjarta

also - thank you to Carina for providing the correct pronunciation of the album title - and I apologise to all the Swedes for my BUTCHERING of it.

Welcome back to Deathcore Summer homies! We're continuing to pit (mostly) legendary albums from the Myspace Deathcore against each other until we find the ultimate champion! - and brother in arms Alex Teyen - vocalist from Hull's finest Black Tongue - is still on deck with us!

this week it's one of the best vs something a bit more niche

The Cleansing by Suicide Silence vs Survivalist by ABACABB

we decided to freestyle this one a bit more rather than sticking to our rigid categories as much just because it felt RIGHT! Hope you enjoy it and let us know in the comments if you disagree with our decisions

Welcome! This week we are setting out our plans for a new series we have affectionately titled "Deathcore Summer"

we plan to do a knock-out style bracket competition where we decide once and for all what the greatest deathcore album of the myspace generation is - and of course we are going to be roping in homie of the show and resident expert on that scene Alex Teyen, vocalist of the legendary UK downtempo deathcore band Black Tongue.

On this episode we outline the concept, discussing the record selections with Alex and getting his blessing (hopefully)
