Welcome, listeners! Join me, Lisa Toth, as we venture through the Hidden Workforce, a show about the positive impact people who live with different abilities bring to the workforce and our world.
The Hidden Workforce attends Tulsa International Airport's Ribbon cutting ceremony announcing their focus on supporting passengers with disabilities along their travel journey!
A functional needs area has been developed in each of Tulsa International's 2 terminals. This area includes an adult changing space complete with a height adjustable table; a sensory-friendly room with fidgets, bean bags, sensory-friendly lighting, and a soundproof room; a family restroom; lactation room; and a service dog relief area.
Brian Crook, Tulsa Airports Director of Customer Experience, created a vendor resource fair to kick off the opening of the travelers functional needs area. The Hidden Workforce visits with Bridges Foundation, Job Connection, Sooner Success, Aces Autism Therapy, The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges, The ARC of OK, Division of Rehabilitation Services, Together Just, ORU Music Therapy, and more at this special ribbon cutting ceremony.
