We’ve all heard this a gazillion times! 

So why is it that appointment times vary so greatly from salon to salon??

Timing is something that comes up with the salons we coach EVERY week without fail!

What are today's guests looking for in a salon experience?

We have all been through so many changes and limitations to the way we operate day to day in the salon. But I think we all need to realise that these changes are her to stay for the foreseeable future.

So we have two choices; either to sit and wait for things to get back to “normal”, and probably lose a shed load of money in the process. Or ask ourselves, where is the opportunity right now and how can I continue to grow my salon?

In my salon we had quarterly team meetings. This was the opportunity for the entire team to come together and “brain-storm” ideas for the following quarter.

These meetings always started with 2 questions:1. What do guests want?

1. What are we NOT offering?

These questions covered everything from fancy coffees and relaxing rituals to services that we didn’t currently offer but needed to start learning and offering.

In this episode I give you my take on what today's guest is looking for when she comes to your salon and also how you can make seriously more profit from seeing less guests and offering more services.

Probably the biggest worry we have as salon owners is that our busiest stylist is going to leave and take ALL their guests with them!

Unfortunately this is evitable and if you’ve owned a salon any longer than a week it's probably happened to you!
