Dr. Jasmine is passionate about making sure that the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), are more reflective of the world we live in. 

As the Founder and President of Mind Over Matter Consulting Group, LLC., an education consulting firm, Jasmine actively leverages her experiences in higher education and government to develop workshops, seminars and strategic solutions that allow individuals and organizations to address the gaps that exist for women and people of color around participation and persistence.

Her unique and innovative approaches have implemented strategies for student success and cultivated inclusive environments for all students to thrive.

Jasmine is the coauthor of STEM Navigators - Pathways to Achievement in Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics. It is a book that presents intervention strategies, resources and personal advice to guide students to success.

In addition to being a STEMinist, Jasmine is a proud wife and mother of two.

What's up, Squad!

I did a live video on my Facebook and Instagram and I am excited to share it with you in today's episode.

We talk about why you should raise your rates!

Being fairly new in the realm of entrepreneurship, I was able to very quickly monetize my podcast by launching my own coaching program. Shortly after that, I was able to then charge a high ticket for my coaching program as a brand new coach.

I am not a unicorn. This is available to you too, Sis!

As a brand new coach, it was scary for me to put myself and my service out there. The fear and questioning, if my service would be liked or if it would sell, was real.

But I was able to get over myself and all that was holding me back and I started charging high four figures for my programs. I am now up to five figures for my long-term coaching program.

I truly believe that we serve an abundant God who wants us to live an abundant life and as we do so, serve others and bring them to the fold of Christ. How can we serve others if we cannot serve ourselves?

Squad...You are purposed to profit!

What’s up Squad!!!

On this episode, we are talking about Clarity.

Your desire and pursuit of clarity as you build your coaching business is a crutch.

Many new coaches and women in my community choose not to move forward until they have clarity.

Our society teaches us that we need clarity first before moving in on anything, and I am here to convince you that, Sis, you don't need clarity!

Clarity is simply your inner cavewoman trying to keep you safe from all the roadblocks you will encounter along your way.

DON’T FALL FOR IT!!

Clarity stagnates you and in that process, no lives are being transformed, because you are not showing up in your purpose.

If you start moving in your purpose, God will start giving you clarity.

You do not need to be clear to move. You need to have courage!

Adam did not have/need clarity when naming the animals and neither do you!!!

Your need for clarity is you not having faith that God will order your steps.

Faith is an action word so… launch out a little bit sis!

What’s up, Squad!

I am super excited about this episode. It is crazy how one quarter can completely change things. 

In this episode, I give you all the tea on the lessons that I have learnt. The highs, the lows, the failures, the wins, the successes, all of it. 

We also talk about the intersection between my life and my business right now and the tremendous identity shifts.

I mentioned in my last review how earlier in the year, I felt like I was not fulfilling my purpose as an impact based entrepreneur. Well, Squad, don't I always say that if you are a coach, you need a coach.

I hired a new coach in 2021, and everything turned around. I have been making consistent five-figure months and multi five-figure months as well. I feel so blessed!

So Sis, I decided to launch a High Ticket 12 Month Program to teach other women exactly what to do to get to this point in their business, to build a high ticket program. My program launches on August 2nd. I cannot wait to set you up for success.

Also, if I had to summarize quarter two, it would be identity shifts. My entire identity has shifted in 2021 and has led to success, but that is not to say identity shifts are easy. 

One of the major identity shifts I had to go through is moving from being a physician who practices clinical medicine to being a physician coach with a thriving business. Squad! I retired from clinical medicine. I still cannot get over it.

There have been some failures as well. A Tribe Called Purpose™ Membership is no longer part of my business model.

It was quite a learning curve for me but as I always say, failure is data you learn from.

We had a such an exciting conversation with this incredible black woman who is shuttering myths about menopause.

Dr. Joy’El Ballard is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist, Perimenopause Health Coach and Menopause Mogul who is deeply passionate about educating women to initiate and maintain a healthy lifestyle especially while aging. She is a Certified Menopause Practitioner and through her Menopause Moguls: The Power of the P.A.U.S.E.™ online group coaching program, she empowers black professional women over 40 to eliminate menopausal symptoms to optimize their health as well as gain clarity, energy and focus to take their business to the next level. 

She is a best-selling author of Loving Me, Myself and “Her”: Through Perimenopause & Beyond, a self-affirming guide that enlightens, encourages and empowers women approaching the menopausal transition.  She is the host of the Midlife-ish: Slay Menopause through Mindful Living podcast.  Dr. Ballard has been a contributing writer for the Business Men and Women of Color Magazine and she was featured in the Vision & Purpose Magazine and His Favor Magazine.

Born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Syracuse University. She obtained her medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  Her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology was completed at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore where she was appointed the Administrative Chief Resident and subsequently received the “Attending Award.” She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and a member of the North American Menopause Society.

After finishing her training, she was in private practice for 13 years and now shares her expertise through coaching and speaking on multiple platforms in the community that provide a space for women to become invigorated while facing different aspects of their health especially during perimenopause and menopause.  

She is married and a mom of three children.  She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Hey , POP Squad!

On today's episode I interview a power house! She is my good friend and former client, Dr. Dawn Gullette Crosson.

Dr. Dawn is a native of Philadelphia, PA and completed her undergrad and master’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA. She later obtained a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

She is a licensed Psychologist, trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and is a certified trauma therapist and has been in the field of psychology since 1996.

Dr. Dawn has a vast array of experience within human services and working with at-risk children and youth. She is a noted trainer and has taught post-secondary collegiate classes at Phoenix University and Messiah University.

She has provided trainings for Dauphin County for over 10 years on topics focusing on understanding the mental health disorders of the populations most served.

She  is currently the sole proprietor of an outpatient office, Petra Psychological Services, LLC and the clinical director and founder of the Harrisburg Area Learning Academy, Inc. that includes an Intensive Family Based Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy Program and a Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) in Dauphin County. She also serves on the Adverse Childhood Experiences (A.C.E.) Executive Committee providing trauma informed training to agencies and the community throughout the county of Dauphin.

In addition to all that, she has her podcast Sanity Sessions For Sisters :Keeping It Together When You Want To Fall Apart.

Dr. Dawn has overcome so much, having gone through trauma herself. She is now tremendously using the power of her unique story and her experience to impact many lives.

Hey, POP Squad!!

Today's episode is short and sweet.
 
If you haven't, listen to last week's Episode 84: Mindset Shifts You Need To Make If You Want To Be a High Ticket Coach for the full context.

In that episode, I talked about how you are likely repelling your future clients from purchasing your coaching services because you have underlying negative entrepreneurship and sales beliefs.

Today, we talk about the actual sales conversation. 

What's your mindset when you are going into another coach's sales call?

Have you done your homework before? Are you open to learning something new?

And most importantly, are you ready to buy from them?

The law of sowing and reaping is a spiritual law.

How you show up in other people's calls is likely how your people are going to show up in your calls.

If you are super critical of other people's rates and services, and by chance, you decide to raise your rates, your people are going to show up in the same way.

Negative energy, when it comes to sales, can be turned around for the law of sowing and reaping to work in your favor.

How? You change your mindset by changing your actions.

We can fix this. We can change the way we relate to money and sales. We can put out offers and have our dream clients by showing up on our sales calls in alignment with who we are!

I did a live video the other day in my private Facebook group, if you're not in there, you should join us,  The Profitable Coach Collective and I had some additional insights that I felt we should discuss.

Sis, You have to shift your mindset if you want to become a high-ticket coach!

The scripture... Galatians 6:7: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap... is so commonly used in our spiritual circles.

But as women of faith, living fully in our greatness in God, are we really using this spiritual principle? Are people who are not of faith thriving from using this principle more than we are?

We need to take that WHATSOEVER seriously. For in all aspects of our lives, in our businesses, whatsoever, we sow, shall we also reap!

When I started my entrepreneurship journey, I completely hated selling! I was starting from a place of relative scarcity and I did not know for sure what I wanted to do. I wanted to make money but selling was icky to me!

That's the thing, we want to be successful entrepreneurs, but at the same time, we have a negative reaction to selling. Plus, we don't believe in what we are doing.

After many, not-so-successful business ventures, I was able to get to the point of making consistent income.

Before all of the good stuff came, I had to change my perception about selling. I could not continue to have drama that kept me from my purpose.

It is when you sow into yourself, into the field of entrepreneurship, that God will reward you with a harvest.

She is a certified HR Generalist and has been blessed to work for several Fortune 500 Companies, including the Discovery Channel in Maryland.She is also the Founder of Step Off the Curb Trademark Assistance, LLC.

Dr. D’Wan Carpenter, DO is a dually board-certified physician, wife, and mother of 4 including fraternal twin girls.  She is the founder of Twin Mom Chronicles and the podcast host of Twin Moms Thriving with Dr. Dee. She helps professional twin moms put themselves first without guilt and overwhelm so that they can be their own boss.  She is a recovering perfectionist who is passionate about helping other twin moms break free of the “perfect mom” façade and has created an online twin mom community to help professional twin moms find and grow their tribe.
